Forget about superstition and think practical.

Well, you can call it superstition, but it's not beyond the realm of reason to assume that the pull of the various heavenly bodies has some *material* influence over us and our proclivities.

 

After all, each atom in the universe is interacting (however weakly) with every other atom in the universe.

 

The key, though, is to not be very much bothered by material influences, due to one's focus on the Transcendental Divinity.

 

Srila Gurudev is known to carry and consult an astrological ephemerides when planning trips and events. I don't consider Gurudev to be superstitious.
