Now Daksha became more humble and came down to earth.Something Good came out of SATHI DEVI's Suicide ; SHE Manifest in ASHTTAADASA (18) Major Shakthi Peetthaas and DWI UTTHARA ARTHA SATHA ( 52 ) minor Shakthi Kshethras. Among Daksha's daughters MOORTHY married DHARMA and begat NARA- NARAAYAN RISHIS from whom OORVASI was born. Other daughters ADITHI, DITHI, VINATHA , KADRUVA etc married KASHYAPA PRAJAAPATHI and begat Aadithyas, Daithyas, Anoora , Garuda and all the serpents. SWAAHA DEVI married AGNI DEVA and begat Pancha Agnis SWADHA DEVI married PITHRU and begat various Pithru Devathalu. So is the Progeny of Daksha Prajaapathi and Devi Prasoothi. Though an egoist Daksha Prajaapathi is a great Patriarch and father of many noble ladies , some of whom are our ancestors. May their progeny including all of our ancestors flourish and bless all of us. </TD><TD width="18%"> </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
AATHREYABALAKRISHNAMURTHY
<TABLE width="81%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR><TD width="66%">AHALYA , The Innocent Ahalya is the most beautiful daughter of Brahma , comparable in beauty to that of Mohini (Vishnu). While very young She might have been in awe of Mahendra in view of his riches, power and his city Amaraavathi. It is only natural for an young woman to be impressed by these outward appearances. It is likely Ithat Indra's intentions towards Ahalya are also honorable and he wanted to marry her. He might have been already married to Sachi Devi , but in those bygone days polygamy was accepatable and quite prevalent. But Ahalyanever expressed Her thoughts about Indra to Her Father Brahma as She is too modest to do so. Brahma is fond of Gauthama Rushi to whom He was thinking of offering Ahalya's hand in marriage. Gauthama is a land owner , a good Vaajasaneya, one who shares what He has with His fellow Rushis, a good host and moreover is very fond of Cows, hence called Gowthama.Indra and other Dikpaalas approached Brahma and requested for Ahalya's hand. Brahma , to over come this dilemma put a condition that who so ever goes around the Universe three times and comes first shall have the honor of wedding Ahalya. All Dikpaalas post haste went on their respective chariots to go around the universe three times as decided by Brahma.. Brahma informed both Ahalya and Gauthama about this condition. Ahalyamight have hoped that Indra will be the winner and there is certainly nothing wrong about it for a simple, honest maiden to wish so. In Gauthama's Aashram there is a young Go Maatha with a small calf just born. Gauthama Maharshi perambulated around this Gomaatha and its new born calf three times andthen went to informBrahma that a young Gomaatha with a new born calf is equal to Universe. Brahma accepted Gauthama's contention and gave His Daughter Ahalya in marriage to Gauthama. Ahalya gracefully accepted this and accompanied Her Husband to His Aashram and then onwards is a very good and absolutely loyal wife to Gauthama . They had a son Sathaananda and a daughter Punjaka Sthali who is destined to become Anjanaa Devi , mother of Aanjaneya. But Indra is not happy and unfortunately took advantage of Ahalya under a false guise of Gauthama when Gauthama is away. An Innocent Ahalya paid the penalty in becoming petrified , turning into a stone only to be rescued after a long time by Lord Raama. </TD><TD width="18%"> </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
AATHREYABALAKRISHNAMURTHY
<TABLE width="68%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR><TD width="65%">AMBA , Ambika , Ambalika - no choice Amba , Ambika and Ambaalika are Princesses who had no say over the events that overtook them . Amba atleast had a mind of her own and was betrothed to King Saalwa. Ambika and Ambaalika , sisters of Amba are too naive. It is the fourth quarter of Dwaapara Yuga . These three Women are victims of powers that prevailed at that time. Bheeshma had two brothers , Chithraangada and Vichithraveerya who are weaklings. Might is Right. Bheeshma captured the three sisters and brought them to Hasthinapur to get them married to his brothers. I dont understand why he abducted three Princesses to marry two brothers of his. Having come to know that Amba was already spoken for, Bheeshma sent her away to Saalwa, who in turn refused to accept Amba as she has been abducted by another man. What would poor Amba do. She came back to Bheeshma and demanded that he marry her as he brought her in the first place. Bheeshma reminded Amba about his vow of celibacy . Amba tried to fight the injustice of it all , but in the end like a chaste woman that she is ,she committed Sathi only to be born again as Sikhandi who is instrumental to bring about the downfall of Bheeshma. The moral is ultimately justice will prevail.Ambika and Ambaalika had no choice except to accept the prevailing situation and were duly married to Chithraangada and Vichithraveerya who very soon left their wives widows and to boot without any isue. Again they bowed to the wishes of their mother in law Sathyavathi and agreed to become mothers with sperm donation, IVF and ICSI. Their role in Mahaa Bhaarath is now over and along with their mother in law their further life events are lost in the pages of ancient Bhaarath, but let us remember they played very active , if incognito, part in sustaining the progeny of Kuru Vamsam.
