lishma
Sorry about the many deaths in India recently. I saw what I believe was the first film version of Mahabharata on PBS in the eighties with subtitles. I have been looking for this magnificent film. I have little knowledge of the ancient cultures of India, so I think this particular film was made in good taste. I'm afraid what hollywood will do with this new movie. American film industry generally displays little respect for any ancient culture. I would rather have the film I saw on PBS. If anyone knows where I can acquire this film please let me know. I admire any culture that adheres to their ancient religious laws and beliefs, as I do to mine. Especially being in the American society it is very important to maintain your cultural foundations as well as being an American. My family has been in America since the 1800's. I think the Mahabharata film version that I saw on PBS should be viewed by the public before this hollywood thing comes out. I think it will aide in keeping the facts of the concepts in Mahabharata in proper perspective. As well as presenting a different interpretation of Mahabharata.
