RadhaMukunda
What is your level of Sanskrit pronunciation. There are many beautiful prayers to lord Shiva. From the Vedas, from puranas, from poets.

RadhaMukunda
Then I would suggest a beautiful, yet simple stotra, from the Rama Charita Manas. Rudrashtakam: http://www.stutimandal.com/gif_tulsi/rudrashtakam.htm Search for audio on raaga.com or youtube.

RadhaMukunda
Did that suggestion help you anything, or do you need an easier prayer? You can get many stotra texts from sanskrit.gde.to And you can listen to them on musicindiaonline.com and raaga.com
RamanaDasi
devadidevam-ahibhusanam-indukasam panchananam pasupatim varadam prasannam gangadharam pranatapalakamasutosam vande sadasiva-haripriya-chandramaulim Pranams to Shiva. All the gods worship him. He does not wear flower garlands, his garland is living snakes. His colour is like the moon. He has five heads and he is always chanting the Names of Sri Rama and Hari. In one hand he holds his weapon, Parasu, and by one hand he is giving fearlessness to the devotees. Vandanam to Gangadhara, Lord Sada Shiva who is dear to Sri Hari and who is wearing the moon in the sky on his head.
Ravindran Kesavan
Dear deepak, There is a very esteemed and revered mantra of Siva called Sri Rudram. But it is longish and would take an hour or so to complete the chanting. And if you dont know sanscrit it could be a torture. Non-the-less it is worthwile to learn it. You can here it when priests conduct rudrabisheka to the lord, in sive temples. Siva stuti is another short one . Bilvastaka is yet another. Regards, K.Ravindran
