Milly
Can anyone suggest one? I know the Maha Mantra, but I'd like ones which include an OM. These are two I am interested in but can they be used for ordinary japa or not?: Om Namo Bhagavate Vāsudevāya - I really like this one but can I do it everyday as a japa mantra? I'm not sure on how to use this. Om Kleem Krishnaya Namah - I heard Kleem shouldn't be used unless initiated by a Guru. Is this true? Om Sri Krishnaya Namah

Ravindran Kesavan
Any mantra can be and should be repeated daily as japa. Every mantra technically requires initiation by a guru K.Ravindran

Jahnava Nitai Das
Om Namo Bhagavate Vāsudevāya would be ideal if you require a mantra with Om. It is the invocation to Srimad Bhagavatam given by Vyasa Muni, and is both chanted as japa and sung in bhajan by sadhus.
