Hare Krsna!

Who is Lord Brahma?

look up 'trimurti' for an idea from the old works

is Krsna himself?
identifying brahma as individual is a reduction of brahma to the limits of mind

Does Lord Brahma make curses? and Krsna?
as if needed

remember; all that is, is of the total. (existence itself)

Existence reveals the evolution of the 'collective conscious' returning to One; there are no isolations from All that is.

The selfish isolations from existence show us kali yuga. As knowledge evolves, ignorance dies.

Know brahma in each moment of experience; appreciate life.

Know brahma by awareness; appreciate life.

Brahma is the life of existence.

(be thankful in honoring life)

Brahma is the First born Being in the Universe [he was born atop a lotus flower that sprung from the Naval of the sleeping Maha-Vishnu].

All His (self created) children are among the Demigods, who themselves further polpulated the Universe.

Brahma is also credited to officiate in the creation of the universe--he is the engineer of the Universe [the one we are in, called, a Brahmanda].

Brahma is the original spiritual master for the universe, because he was initiated by the Lord Krishna Himself [another detailed pastime], thus, the message of Srimad-Bhagavatam is coming down from Brahma. That is why the disciplic succession of the Gaudiya Vaishnava is called Brahma Sampradaya.

The creation of Brahma and dispersion of the material ingredients are called vikalpa, and the creation by Brahma in each day of his life is called kalpa. Therefore each day of Brahma is called a kalpa, and there are thirty kalpas in terms of Brahma’s days.

Lord Brahma is known as the pitamaha, or the father’s father.

But Lord Brahma is the father of all fathers. He is the father of the father of Manu, who is the father of mankind all over the universal planets.

Lord Brahmä has personally recommended in his own words as follows:

Lord Brahma said:

“O my Lord Krishna, a devotee who abandons the path of empiric philosophical speculation aimed at merging in the existence of the Supreme and engages himself in hearing Your glories and activities from a bona fide sadhu, or saint, and who lives an honest life in the occupational engagement of his social life, can conquer Your sympathy and mercy even though You are ajita, or unconquerable.” (Bhagavata-purana 10.14.3)

The creation of the material world is not blind or accidental. The living entities who are ever conditioned, or nitya-baddha, are thus given a chance for liberation under the guidance of His own representative like Brahma.

The Lord instructs Brahma in Vedic knowledge in order to diffuse this knowledge to the conditioned souls.

The conditioned souls are forgetful souls in their relationship with the Lord, and thus a period of creation and the process of dissemination of Vedic knowledge are necessary activities of the Lord.

Lord Brahma has a great responsibility in delivering the conditioned souls, and therefore he is very dear to the Lord.

Brahmä also does his duty very perfectly, not only by generating the living entities but also by spreading his party for reclaiming the fallen souls.

The party is called the Brahma-sampradäya, and any member of this party to date is naturally engaged in reclaiming the fallen souls back to Godhead, back home.

The Lord is very much anxious to get back His parts and parcels, as stated in the Bhagavad-gétä. No one is more dear than the one who takes the task of reclaiming the fallen souls back to Godhead.

There are many renegades from the Brahma-sampradaya whose only business is to make men more forgetful of the Lord and thus entangle them more and more in material existence.

Such persons are never dear to the Lord, and the Lord sends them deeper into the darkest region of matter so that such envious demons may not be able to know the Supreme Lord.

Anyone, however, preaching the mission of the Lord in the line of the Brahma-sampradäya is always dear to the Lord, and the Lord, being satisfied with such a preacher of the authorized bhakti cult, shakes hands with him in great satisfaction.

So in the disciplic succession of the Brahma-sampradaya, the practice of yoga meditation is not neglected.

But because the devotees are bhakti-yogis, they do not undertake the trouble to meditate upon the impersonal Brahman; as indicated here, they meditate on brahma paramam, or the Supreme Brahman.

Brahman realization begins from the impersonal effulgence, but by further progress of such meditation, manifestation of the Supreme Soul, Paramatma realization, takes place.

And the param brahma [the ultimate summum bonum, or the ultimate source of all energy] is Lord Sri Krishna, as confirmed in the Bhagavad-gita.

And progressing further, realization of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is fixed.

Lord Brahma, being the creator of all living beings in the universe, is originally the father of several well-known sons, like Daksha, the catur-kumaras, and Narada and Shiva, etc.

In Bhagavata-purana 2.2.34, Sri Shukadeva Gosvami explained:

"The great personality Brahma, with great attention and concentration of the mind, studied the Vedas three times, and after scrutinizingly examining them, he ascertained that attraction for the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Krishna is the highest perfection of religion."

is this where you read that idea from?

"

sambhale vishnu yasaso

grihe pradurbhavabamyaham

sumatyam matari vibho

kanyayam tvannidesatah

caturbhir bhratribhirdeva

karishyami kali-kshayam

bhavanto bandhava devah

svamsenavatarishyatha

(Kalki Purana 2.4-5)

“Sri Hari said to the lotus-born Brahma, ‘At your request, I shall take birth on the earth in the home of the brahmana, Vishnu Yasa, from the womb of his wife, Sumati. I shall destroy Kali with My four brothers. O demigods! You should also take birth on your behalf and establish friendly relations with Me for the benefit of the inhabitants of heaven.’ ”

i ask that because of this

Although Vedavyasa was
an incarnation
of Lord Krishna H
imself
he was also
within the purview of disciplic succession having been initiated by Narada Muni who was initiated by Brahma who was initiated by Vishnu
. After writing the four Vedas, the 108 Puranas and the Brahma Sutras,
Vedavyasa composed the Mahabharata for the benefit of the common man. But
the
internal purpose and ultimate reason for doing so was to guide the attention to Lord Krishna. In Srimad Bhagavatam, Canto 3, chapter 5, verse 12 this is fully substantiated

Sri Krishna Dvaipayana Vedavyasa Muni describes the holy biography and glories of Kalkideva in detail in his Kalki Purana.....

That is first rate Goudia Vaishnava's bluff.

Brahma is the highest truth identical with the vedic Brahman. Brahma is the saguna form of Bhraman. From this first saguna Brahman named Brahma, all other saguna forms including Mahavishnu came. Brahma is the creater of all gods. He is the father of vishnu.

Vaishnavas have reversed the order of creation. When Gaudia Vaishnavas could reverse of the status of Mahavishnu and Krishna who is a mere mortal avadar of Mahavishnu - if they could do this to their own god - why will they not do it to Brahma?
