theist
It is said that great personalities almost always accept voluntary suffering because of the suffering of people in general. This is considered the highest method of worshiping the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is present in everyone’s heart. SB 8.7.44 "Pick up your cross and follow me." - Lord Jesus Christ Yes, Spiritually we are very primitive, I remember one sannyasy who refused to giva a class if the Travelling Sankirtan Bus was parked early in a shopping mall in Canberra. All because 'Maharaj' didn't want his class disturbed by going in to set up to preach in some Mall for a whole day!! We had to be set up by 7am or we could not go in to the Mall at all. In other words, 'Maharaj' would rather preach to a handful of devotees than a thousands of people all through the day, all because he didn't want HIS regular schedule disturbed Great quote, so how many devotees of Krishna are on this advanced selfless level? - It is said that great personalities almost always accept voluntary suffering because of the suffering of people in general. theist
Great quote, so how many devotees of Krishna are on this advanced selfless level? - Very Very few at any one time on this planet are fully selfless. But many are on the path to varying degrees. Standing on a corner on a cold wet day trying to engage someone in a discussion on God consciousness a few hours each day certainly qualifies. A little sacrifice on up to Srila Prabhupada tirelessly traveling the world spreading the Holy Name. We can't imitate Prabhuada or Christ but we can follow to our capacity while trying to increase that capacity.
