gokulkr
Sri Nama Vaibhavam Bhagavan Sriman Narayanan has got lots of Kalyana Gunams (Great and special - spiritual characters). He is away from all sorts of Doshams and no one can restrict Him (or) His blessings. Lots and lots of his Bhaktas are leading their life only because of His grace, blessings and the faith on Him. More than the Bhagavan himself, His Thiru Nama (name) has got lots of speciality and greatness. In this Kali yugam, there are lots of ways to attain Him. But, the simplest way is through Nama Sangeerthanam (i.e.) by Chanting his Thiru Naamam. Thirumangai Alwar in his Paasuram explains the greatness of the Name of Sriman Narayanan. "Vaadinen Vaadi varundhinen ..." in this pasuram, in one line, he says - "Naadinen Naadi Naan Kandu Kondein Naarayana Ennum Naamam". In this verse, he says that by chanting the Narayana Naamam, we can attain whatever we wanted to attain. In this world, all of our sins will vanish only through Nama Sangeerthanam of his Thiru Naamams. Lots of divine incidents have happened by chanting his Thiru Naamam. 1. There was an Andhanan named "Ajamilan" who had a great bhakti towards the Perumal. He is well versed in all Dharmam and Shastras. Due to the bad environmental situation, he went in a wrong path and did all actions against the good. His son's name was "Narayana". He loved his son very much and used to have a small chat with him everyday evening and used to express his love by repeatedly calling his name. One day, when his lifetime came to an end, the Yama thoodhaas (Solders of Yaman) came there to take him away the life. As a daily practice he was playing with his son, while playing so, he called his son's name in a very huge sound and a result, Sriman Narayanan himself came there and protected Ajamilan. He actually didn't call Sri Vishnu but called his son whose name was "Narayana". So, this explains the greatness of him and his Nama Sangeerthanam. 2. Yet another divine incident happened is during Sri Krishnavatharam, while (Panjali) Draupathi was treated badly in-midst of the Duriyodhanan’s palace, Sriman Narayanan helped her by giving lots of sarees and protected her. This is because she expressed the thiru Naamams of him like "Govinda, Krishna, Narayana" etc., and this explains us the greatness of Naama Sangeerthanam. 3. It is not that Sriman Narayanan will extend his helping hands to humans but it is evident from the below mentioned incident also. Once there lived an elephant named "Gajendran" and one day all of the elephants came to a small pond to have the water. While drinking the water from the pond, Gajendran’s (elephant) legs were caught by a crocodile. The Elephant could not get rid of the Crocodile and finally seeked the help of Sriman Narayanan. It expressed its position and thought of Sriman Narayanan and while thinking so it expressed the Naama - "Aadhi Moolamey". As soon as it expressed, Sriman Narayanan came on Garudan, killed the crocodile with his Chakkaram and rescued Gajendran. The above incident clearly explains the greatness of Him and his Naama. There are lots and lots of incidents like these and the greatness of his Naama is unexplainable. Even some of the incidents would have happened to the bhaktas reading as well. So, Bhaktas chant His divine names, whenever you get the time. There is no specific time or days for it to do so. Even if you could not go to the temple, you can get his complete blessings by chanting his Nama Sangeerthanam. We speak so many unwanted issues which are useless. But, in thi kaliyugam, Nama Sangeerthanam and its Vaibhavam is the one among the way to get Mukthi. So, keep as a daily practice of chanting His Naama atleast for 10 times a day. The great 7 Divya Mantrams : "Om Namo Venkatesaya" "Om Namo Narayanaya" "Om Namo Lakshmi Narayanaya" "Om Namo Sathya Narayanaya" "Om Namo Bhaghvathay Vasudevaya" "Om Kleem: Sri Krishnaya Namaha" "Harey Rama Harey Rama - Rama Rama Harey Harey", "Harey Krishna Harey Krishna - Krishna Krishna Harey Harey"
