Hamsasuta
I know that Hare Krishna devotees aren't supposed to eat garlic. But what about eating it as medicine for curing disease, is that allowed, or is that sinful? And if it is allowed, is it restricted to just the tablet forms, or is fresh garlic okay to use? I just recently read that fresh garlic is good for the immune system and can kill staph. There's been an epidemic of staph the past couple of years (boils are usually caused by staph, which ironically, is contracted from most hospitals and clinics) and most of the antibiotics prescribed by allopathic doctors are now resistant to staph. Thanks!
