sylvester22
The seventh lord is malefic for any lagna, and its placement in 1,2,4,7 is not good for longevity. The seventh lord when placed in 3,6,8,12th houses the longevity of a person is increased. Is this interpretation true? I would like astrologers to share more on this! software_riaz
Dear Friend, Longevity should be seen only from 1st, 6th, 8th and 12.. Strong 1st and 8th house and its lord good for longevity. Seventh house is known to be Kendra house. which is good. we see marriage and partenrship ets... from 7th house. 7th lord in the 6th house means, Loss for marriage and partnership.. Because the 6th is 12th from the 7th ( Opp direction) and the 6th governs quarells and litigation which is not good for marriage. If the 6th lord is in the 5th or directly placed in the 12th house, this means loss of Debts and diseases. but there are allways advantages and disadvantages. 7th lord has to do nothing witht the longevity. But the longevity of marriage is shown by the 8th house also. Thanks Riaz
U.Sanjeeva Rao
Dear sylvester, This is an important question as it is related to one of the important houses in any horoscope. Because the question is not wrt any horoscope, the general results can be:- 1. The partner is service oriented ,healthy and likes to be a lawyer, defence, police, administration etc.very passionate if not tolerable can lead to divorce, can be a bit aversive to marriage act.It depends on the 7th house lord a malefic or benefic and aspects. 2.The spouce is from a low status family with a different cultural background/tradition. 4.If the 7th lord and kalatrakaraka Venus is in 6th it gives seperation from spouce. If Venus is debilitated it can cause death/ sudden event causing seperation. If Venus is debilitated it enhances the malefic effect. 5.If lord of 7th or 2nd is in 6,8,12 conjoins Venus a seperation from partner is indicated. 6.The native of the chart doesn't show initiative wrt opposite sex which may result in marriage by force / delayed marriage/no marriage. etc..etc Venus plays a major role in the longevity of partnership not necessity by death but can be by seperation. If more malefic influences prevail it may end in death. with best wishes, USR
sylvester22
Thanks for the reply. My question is the seventh lord for any lagna would be malefic for that lagna. Jupiter for Gemini and Virgo, Saturn for Cancer and Leo, Mars for Libra and Taurus, Moon for Capricorn, Sun for Aquarius, Mercury for Sagittarius and Pisces, Venus for Aries and Scorpio. Do you agree with this?
amar1
I have a Libra Lagna and 2nd and 7th lord Mars - Markesh has been very malefic for me as I am in Mangal mahadasha right now.
U.Sanjeeva Rao
The general rule is natural malefics owning Kendra becomes less malefic/neutral and natural benefics owning kendras become less benefic/neutral.Planets like Mercury are by nature benefic but by association with malefic becomes malefic.Similarly Moon is malefic when it is waning and close to Sun.Luminories are not maracas totally. Unless the planets own both 2nd and 7th houses they are not full maracas. The results get modified by aspect/association/ placement of the maraca planet in various houses .It is to be verified with lagna, lagna lord and 8th house and Saturn Karaca for longevity,Dasa, transit of planets etc. So to define in general ,a planet as total maraca is difficult and can be explained only with each individual horoscope. realraghu
2nd lord and 7th lord are marakas..so atleast one of the marakas is weak.. but as said above it really depends on ayushkaraka, 8th house , lagna etc and aspects etc also if 7th lord is in 6th house spouse can be diseased...based on other aspects and planets..
