Guru seva is one of the basics, in the book Mantra Rahasya gurudev has talked of 6 ways of developing " Bhavna " for a mantra, u can try those but for instant/initial steps i would recommend that u start thikinng about the guru/god/deity. Although mantra and devotion are meant to take person to a state where he is thoughtless and one with the guru/god/deity but still when ur starting from scratch, its easier to build concentration, devotion this way. As u know, mental body comes above emotional body, so u can command urself through it. U can do many things with ur thoughts like replacing, modifying, deleting... replacing with positives is the easiest and fastest method. If u learn to plant right/positive thoughts then u will get right feelings and change of feeling totally changes a man. So start with positive thoughts about the guru/god/deity which actually dissolve the logic. True Appreciation of the worshiped, singing praises dissolves ur logic and ego hence opens u to recieve the higher, be one with it. Guest guest Posted October 8, 2007 Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 Hi, Read/listen to Gurudev's discourses on love and the great book on Prem by Parampujya Gurudev is " PHIR KANHI DOOR PAYAL KHANKI" No one in particular would be able to describe any methods...just feel the absence of your own self without the Guru...and feel the intense pain without the Guru...
