Greetings,

I am new to the group and very much interested in learning

mantras.

I recently started the Om Gum Ganatapeyie Manah (is this

correct?) and someone told me that I should chant it 108/day for 6 weeks.

I have been doing Shreem for the past year – 108/day

I also would like to know if I can say the mantra in

whispers or with my inside voice (which is what I do with Shreem).

Saying it aloud hurts my throat. ;)

Thanks much.

I am so looking forward to learn from all of you.

Learning Mantra requires a GURU for efficient result.

Dikchya - Check with Gurudham re Dikchya for you.

Looks like a typo in Ganapati Mantra

correct is

Om Gum Gana pataye Namah

three ways to perform Mantra Jaap

1. from your mind.

2. with lips moving (very low sound that you can only hear yourself)

3. chanting it aloud

has different level of effects. Can do any one.

May you be blessed by Param Pujya Guru dev
