Dear Sirs/Madams,

 

I am a member of this group for a long time and going

through all the discussions and messages on the group. I have a few questions

and will be grateful, if any one of the senior member could find some time to

satiate my hunger of knowledge:

1. I have heard a lot about ISHT DEVATA here. How could we know, who is our

Isht devata. Or it is like that we can have devotion to any of the devtas/daitees

as per our liking and/or comfort and consider him/her as our Ishtdevata . but

in that case it is very difficult to pay our homage to any one of them as all

are equally grateful and t is very difficult to choose one of them. Is there

any link of Ishtdevata with our birth chart. If it is so, my details are as

under:

Date of Birth : 20 Aug 1973

Time of Birth : 07:17 AM (morning)

Place of Birth: Shahadara(Delhi)

 

 

In line with details above, I

have some query from physical world also. I am in a public sector job and

at times, I feel that I am not able to use my potential and get enough out

of this job in terms of money, satisfaction and knowledge gain. I also

feel that I should switch to some Private sector company/Multinational company

to use my full potential. It seems that the reason behind this thinking

is one that I am not able to get a posting near my birth place or any big

city since I am continuously getting postings in some remote places, Can

any one guide me on the basis of the birth chart that what will be

suitable for me.

The last questions is that I

got frequent pangs on both sides i.e spirituality and physical pleasures.

Some times I found myself inclined towards spirituality and think that I

should leave every thing and go towards some remote place in search of

some great guru and consequently the supreme power and on the other hand

at some other times I found myself more inclined towards family, sex and

other physical things. Is planetary positions in my birth chart is

responsible for that or just I am not capable enough for anything.

 

 

I will be highly thankful if any serious

thought wil be received be any one of you.

Hello Madame.....

 

The issue of Ishta Devata can be addressed by determining some planets in the

chart based on 12th house from Atmakaraka planet in the navamsa chakra. If this

planet is in good shape i.e., placed in favorable house with strength good

aspects etc, then the native would have a strong feeling that the life has

MEANING because ultimately this meaning come from our connection to God, however

one sees God. And it is this planet/diety that may lead a person to liberation.

 

Now the other definition is related to the 5th house. The 5th house other than

being the house of mantra, is also the place associated with our tastes and our

affections, its what we like and devotion comes frome the 5th house.

 

Who is to judge the matters of an individual's devotion? It's highly personal

and the emotional connection is important here. That is why planets like Rahu

in the 5th house, which you have, will make you hunger for knowledge as Rahu is

in Jupiter sign. You see Rahu would rather be in some sign where the material

desires could be sought after without any conflicts but in your case the Rahu is

not and there is resulting emptiness and confusion in matters related to

spirituality and emotional desires and children 5th house is also children.

 

Rahu represents Mother Durga as she is MAHAMAYA and Rahu is representing MAYA.

It could also represent Kaal Bhairav.

 

The other interpretation based on the 12th house from Atma planet in navamsa.

Mercury is your Atmakaraka and it is in Dhanus with Saturn. Dhanus is also 5th

house in the Rasi chakra. This is a very strong link to the house of mantra.

But the 12th house from there is Vrshikha and Mars and Ketu rule that sign.

Mars is strong in the 9th house with the Moon so there is a pretty good

indication that Dieties like Narasimha or Hanuman or Rudra or Batuka Bhairav

could fit the bill. Or because Moon is with the Mars Kali Maa or Chamunda and

so on and so forth.

 

And for Ketu...... Ucchishta Ganapati... without a doubt.

 

The nature of the planet as Atmakaraka show the type of covering for the

soul-guna and tattva.Mercury is Prthvi and may indicate a strong tendency for

material grasping despite having simultaneous spiritual aspirations. Mercury is

in the 12th house in the Rasi chakra in Karkata....this makes you want to leave

the world for spiritual ideals take sanyas etc but because Mercury is connected

with the Venus sign there is alot of yearning for love sex and relationship or

focus on attaining hope and dreams connected with work and career.
