Do's and don'ts Do bring ID cards with photo voters card is best or passport Do not bring 500 Rs and 1000 Rs notes. They are illegal in Nepal Do bring warm cloth for night journey. Here is the direction to reach Kathmandu for Nepal Shivir International Air travel Thai Airways via Bangkok (Daily connecting flight to Kathmandu from BKK) Gulf Air (Daily connecting two flights to Kathmandu Air travel India Delhi Kathmandu Daily two flights from Delhi Indian Airlines Daily tow flights by Jet Airways Daily Two flights by Nepal Ailines Calcutta Kathmandu Every day flight by Indian Airlines Travel by Train Can Reach New Jalpaiguri (Siligurhi) or Bagdogra from Eastern India (Sikkim Assam Guwahati Calcutta) Proceed to Panitanky Kakrvitta Border Proceed to Kathmandu by Bus 18 hours night bus for 590 km journey Can Reach Jogbani Bihar from East Bihar, West Bangal Proceed to the boorder to Biratnagar Proceed to Kathmandu by bus 14 houras journey day and night buses 500 KM journey Can reach Raxaul (via Muzaffarpur, Narkatiagunj) from Bihar, Delhi, Calcutta Cross the border to Birgunj Proceed to Kathmandu by bus 8 houras journey day and night buses 300 KM journey Can reach Gorakhpur by train from all over India Proceed to Sunouli by Bus/Jeep 90 KM two and half hour journey Proceed to Kathmandu by bus 8 houras journey day and night buses 300 KM journey There will be banners and reception counters set up on all border points to assist you on safe journey.
