Shmashaan means crematory where life and all attachments end. Kali

is a goddess who's colour is black, a colour in which all other

colours disappear. According to Maha Nirvan Tantra, an ancient hindu

text, everything, that troubles a worshiper of Kali, end like life

and all attachments end in a crematory and all colours end in black.

 

Goddess Kali is the first and the foremost of the ten mahavidyas.

Many tales of horror, mystery, thrill and miracle surround her.

Though many people fear her, she is, certainly, the most potent

goddess. Her worshipers are revered even by gods.
