Guest guest
hi!!! Initially, Tantra always interested me because I believed it was all about black magic, having occult powers under your control and at the same time I hated Tantra because I also believed that it was used only for evil. Well, the 3 books Aghora I, II and III that I mentioned in my last post, changed my opinion of Tantra completely.... Here was a tantric, who had gone through all those " dirty " rituals like using dead bodies for sadhna, sexual rituals, eating things we don't even think of touching etc etc...but who emerged as a much better and spiritually advanced human being than I can ever become in this life time.... The compassion he had for people, the way he helped many, cured them, taught them, punished them, fascinates me so much that I feel like meeting this guy and learning from him about life....becoming his student..... Unfortunately he is dead now... I am not saying everyone must become a Tantric, since it is requires a certain frame of mind and mental toughness, but Tantra is certainly not the much maligned field or practices that I heard people talking about.... Tantra challenges one's life-long held beliefs and perceptions and calls for re-evaluating them... It calls for changing our perspective of certain things such love, God worship, rituals in particular and life in general.... Orthodoxy has no place in Tantra and no tantric worth his salt walks on beaten paths.... Tantra teaches each individual to find his own way out of the karmic mess called life and to deal with mother Nature in his/her own way..... It is simply fascinating, and mind boggling.... The discipline required for the practices is tremendous and no ordinary individual can become a tantric..... and not everyone is supposed to become a tantric.... just my 2 cents!!
