Shri Tara-bhakti-rahasya-dipika

(The secret explanation of redeeming Love, Devi-bhakti)

The first blissful message.

 

shrItAriNyuvAcha

ahaM devI tenayuktA tavAtma svaprakAshikA

para~njyotiH paramprema saMyogAnandavigrahA

Boon-giving Tarini said:

1. " I am Goddess, united with You (with Parashiva, " Tat " ), I am Your

Essence, self-radiant highest Light and Love, I am embodiment of

union-bliss.

 

aha~ncha timirA shUnyA nirguNA sarvasAkShiNI

mahAlayA parAshaktiH sarvabhUtabhavAtmikA

2. And I am Darkness and Void without properties, I am Witness of

everything, the great Dissolution, Parashakti, I am the Essence of all

manifested beings.

 

ekA cha sadguNA shuddhA nityAhlAdapradAyinI

sarvapriyA parApreShThA mahAmAtA cha rAgiNI

3. I am Indivisible and Good, Pure, Giver of eternal bliss, All-loving

and higher Lover, The Great Mother, Fervent.

 

mokShavidyA vidyudrUpA tamonAshakarI prabhA

bhaktibhAvasukhalabhyA sAmarasyasvabhAvinI

4. I am The Knowledge of Liberation (Vidya), thunderbolt-like, the

darkness-dispelling Splendor; I can be easily attained by bhakti-sense

(bhakti-bhava), My nature is Samarasya.

 

mahAmAyAsmi vishvesha mohAdipAshadhAriNI

sR^iShTisthitisaMhArANAmIshvarI jagadambikA

5. O Lord of the world, I am Mahamaya, I constrain [beings] by fetters

of deceit, etc.; I am Lady of creation, sustenance and destruction [of

universe], Mother of the world.

 

sarveShu h^RidayeShvasmi saMsthitAtmasvarUpiNI

yadIchchhAmi kShaNAddeva paratattve nayAmi tam

6. As Atma I reside in all hearts. O God, I can bring anyone who

desired by me to the Superior State.

 

sadAshiva uvAcha

mahAdevi mamapreShThe nityashaH praNamAmi te

tavasnehAdahaM shivastavadAso.asmi supriye

Sadashiva said:

7. " O Great Goddess, O My Beloved! By your grace I am Shiva. My

worship to You is eternal, O My Dearest, I am Your servant.

 

vada me prItisampUrNe tava sAdhanamuttamam

yena twaM tAriNIrUpe dadAsi paramampadam

8. O Love-charged, deliver to me Your highest sadhana, by which you,

residing in Tarini (Savioress) appearance, favor us with the Superior

State.

shraddhAmUlo dharmamArgo prasIdAmi tadA kShaNe

shraddhAhInaishshataiH karmairmamatattvaM sudurlabham

Boon-giving Tarini said:

9. [When] dharma-path rests on faith, I pour My Grace continually.

My Essence can never be reached by hundreds of acts and rites without

faith!

 

sopAnam prathamaM shraddhA kauladharmme kuleshvara

pashubhAvasya sAraM hi sarvAchAreShu siddhidam

10. O Lord of Kula, the first step in Kula-dharma path is the faith;

it is the essence of pashu-bhava (determinant quality of manifested

being), the faith gives perfection in all acharas (any paths and kinds

of actions).

 

yadi shraddhA dR^iDhA deva tadA sanmArge yAti saH

nandanti sarvadevAshcha kALikA tuShyati sadA

11. O God, if the faith [of the man] is firm, he walks on the path of

rightness; all gods are satisfied by him, and Kalika is always

pleased!

 

shraddhAyuktA sanmatishcha shraddhaiva paramaM tapaH

kuladharmAdhArashshraddhA mamaprItisaMvarddhinI

12. Mind (reason) is good in presence of the faith. The faith is the

highest asceticism, it is the foundation of Kula-dharma, [the faith]

excites My Love.

 

bhaktirdvitIyasopAnaM bhaktyA devIsamIpatA

yo bhaktipUrNassarvesha siddhimApnoti vAme saH

13. The second state is bhakti (devotion), The Goddess can be reached

close by it. O Lord of The Universe, perfection on Vama path can be

reached by bhakti-follower.

 

bhaktirj~nAnapradA deva j~nAnaM hi muktikAraNam

tasmAdbhaktyA yajechchaktiM j~nAnopAsanamAcharet

14. O God, bhakti leads to jnana, and jnana is the cause of The

Liberation. Therefore Shakti should be revered with devotion and

jnana-upasana should be the path.

 

bhaktiyogo mahAyogo j~nAnayogassarvottamaH

j~nAnayuktA yadA bhaktirmahAbhAvaM tu jAyate

15. Bhakti-yoga (union by devotion) is the great yoga, jnana-yoga

(union by knowledge) exceed any other path; when bhakti unites with

jnana, the Great State (Love) is born.

 

mahAbhAve kaulasiddhirmahAbhAvo parampadam

mahAbhAve parampremapUrNatA mokSha eva cha

16. The perfection of kaulas is in mahabhava, mahabhava is The

Highest. There are completeness of the Higher Love and Freedom in

mahabhava.

 

sadAshiva uvAcha

kenopAyena vidyeshi tatpadaM sulabhaM bhavet

kulamArgarahasyaM tu shrotumichchhAmi pArvati

Sadashiva said:

17. O Lady of Knowledge, tell me the easy means which lead to this

State. O Parvati, I wish to listen to this secret of the Kula path.

nAnopAyairmahAdeva parantu sattamaM shR^iNu

kaulamate suguptaM hi kShiprasiddhipradAyakam

Boon-giving Tarini said:

18. O Mahadeva, [this State can be reached by] various means, but

listen to the best [of all of them], which is hidden in the Kula

teaching and brings to perfection quickly.

 

kaulasAro rAsikashcha rasaj~nAnaM hi mokShadam

rAsalIlA jagatsarvaM sAmarasyaM parashshivaH

19. The essence of Kula path is rasika, knowledge of rasa (higher

feeling) leads to The Liberation. All Universe is the rasa play; the

Most High [have nature] of Samarasya.

 

shivo raso ratishshaktissaMyogo paramampadam

saMyoge paramAnandaM nityaprema mahArasaH

20. Shiva is rasa, rati (extasy, delight in rasa) is Shakti, and their

union is the Superior State. There are supreme Bliss, eternal Love and

great Rasa in this union.

 

yadA vyaktastadrasaM syAttadA sAkShAtkulaM bhavet

ihaloko bhavetsatyaM dharmasya kiM prayojanam

21. When this rasa is present, Kula is manifested, and this world

becomes True. So [in such state] there is no need in [any] dharma.

 

tasmAtpremarasotpattiH parAvasthA kulArchane

yo bhavedrasatattvaj~nassa mahAkauliko bhuvi

22. Therefore the supreme order in the kaula worship is manifestation

of rasa-Love. The great kaula in the world is who perceive in the

essence of this rasa!

 

vR^ithA yogo vR^ithA pUjA vR^iyhA hi dhyAnadhAraNA

vR^ithA sarvatapo deva premavirahito yadi

23. O God, any yoga, puja (worship rites), meditations and

contemplations, and all kinds of asceticism are useless without Love!

 

prema hi sAdhanaM shreShTham premnA devI prasIdati

premnA bhuktishcha muktishcha tasmAtpremaM samAshrayet

24. Love is the best sadhana, the Grace of Goddess, bliss and

Liberation [can be obtained] by Love. Therefore devote [yourself] to

Love!

 

shivashaktisa~Ngame.api sahajo bhAvo jAyate

tadbhAvo paramapremalakShaNo.asti kuleshvara

25. The unified bhava is born in union of Shiva and Shakti (*).

O Kuleshvara, the essence of this bhava is supreme Love.

(* Comment: This sentence can be used here and later as clear

direction to sexual sadhana in context of Kula-shakti practice school.

)

 

shivashaktisamAyogo yoga eva na saMshayaH

saMyogena vinA muktirneti shAstrasya nirNayaH

26. The Shiva-Shakti union is Yoga, there is no doubt in this. As it

was said in Shastras (Scriptures), there is no Liberation without

[such] union.

 

saMyoge jAyate saukhyaM paramAnandalakShaNam

AnandapUrNatvAdvIro bhairavarUpiNaM bhavet

27. The joy of the supreme bliss is born in [such] union. A blissful

vira (hero) becomes like Bhairava.

 

anurAgeNa devesha shaktisamIpatAM vrajet

mahAbhAvAtsAmarasyaM kulAkhyam paramampadam

28. O Lord of deities, by Love he advances to Shakti, and by

mahabhava [he obtains] the Supreme State, Samarasya, which is called

Kula.

 

tasmAtsarvaprayatnena sashaktyA sAdhana~ncharet

saMyogarasaj~nAnena mahAmokSham labhettataH

29. Therefore [kula-]sadhana with Shakti must be practiced with every

effort. By realization of union-rasa the great Freedom is obtained.

 

yathoktaM kaulashAstreShu yadi mokShArthI sAdhakaH

tadA vAmAM pUjayitvA premalInam bhavetsadA

30. As it was said in Kaula-shastras, if sadhaka desires Liberation,

he should devote to Love in worship of The Beautiful (Shakti).

 

vAmAyAM hi layaM kR^itwA mR^ityu~njayasamo bhavet

iti kaularahasyaM syAd yo dhImatsassadAcharet

31. Dissoluted in The Beautiful, he becomes like the Conquerer of

death.

It is the secret of Kula [path]; let it be always used by the wise.

 

dvitIyollAsaH

The second blissful message.

 

shrIgauryuvAcha

mahAdeva premasindho sachchidAnandarUpaka

shrotumichchhAmi devesha kauladharmamanuttamam

Boon-giving Gauri said:

1. O Great God, Ocean of Love, image of Existence, Consciousness and

Bliss, o Lord of deities, I wish to listen to the best dharma - Kaula!

 

sadAshiva uvAcha

shR^iNu pArvati kalyANi tavasnehasya kAraNAt

mahAkaulamataM tattvaM kalau mayA prakAshitam

Sadashiva said:

2. Listen, o beautiful Parvati, to the Truth of great teaching of

Kula, which I manifested in kali-yuga by Your Grace!

 

kR^itAditrayayugAnAM vedamArgassamartho.abhUt

kalau tu kevalaM kaulamanyA mArgA vR^ithA kila

3. In the three [preceding] yugas - krita etc. - the path of Vedas was

powerful; only Kaula [path has power] in kali-yuga, all other ways is

useless.

 

kaulatattvaM sarvasAraM sarvadharmahR^idi sthitam

mokShAya sukhamArgo.api tasmAttattattvamAshrayet

4. The truth of Kula is the essence of everything, it resides in the

heart of all dharmas; and it is an easy way to Liberation. Therefore

take refuge in this Truth!

 

bAhyAchArAjjaDamithyA bAhyAchArI svahA bhavet

nAnAshAstroktaniyamAnnahi puNyaM kalau dhruvam

5. The external way leads only to dullness and delusion; only

self-murderers wander on it.

Adherence to prescriptions of various [dharma-]shastras gives no good

in kali-yuga.

 

satyadharmo hR^idi j~neyassvechchhAchAraH prakIrttitaH

svechchhA niyama ukto.atra mahAmantrasya sAdhane

6. The true dharma can be knowed by heart, it is known as svechhachara

(a way to do according own will). In great Mantra's sadhana only one

prescription is declared - svechhachara!

 

yassvatattwamataM tyaktvetaradharmaM samAshrayet

sa yAti narakaM ghoraM satyaM satyaM vadAmi te

7. Anybody who rejected their own Nature's path and abandoned himself

in other dharma, they go to a terrible hell - verily, verily I say to

You!

 

yathaikamantarAtma hi tathaivaikA maheshvarI

svAtmaiva devatA proktA lalitA vishvavigrahA

8. As the inner Spirit is one, so The Great Lady is One!

Lalita, who encloses everything, is known as Deity of own Spirit [of

human].

 

rUpeShu nAnAdevAnAmekA shaktistu prANadA

yo nAnAdevavishwAsI sa pAShaNDashcha nArakI

9. The One Shakti resides in forms of various gods and enlivens them.

Believer of various gods is heretic and goes to hell.

 

kaulamArge chaikavidyA chaikadevI parAtparA

sAtipremamayI shuddhA tAriNI kulakuNDalI

10. The One Vidya (Knowledge), the One Goddess, the Most Highness is

on path of Kula.

She is charged with higher Love, Pure, She is Tarini (Savioress),

Kulakundalini (descending stream of Grace).

 

kalau kALI kalau kR^iShNaH kalau gopAlakALikA

yathA kALI tathA tArA yathA kALI haristathA

11. In kali-yuga Kali, in kali-yuga Krishna, in kali-yuga

Gopala-Kalika.

Tara is Kali, and Kali is Hari (Krishna).

 

kALI tArA mahAvidyA mahAsiddhipradAyinI

sarvavidyAmayI devI kALI siddhiranuttamA

12. Kali and Tara Mahavidyas (the Great Knowledges) give the great

perfection. All [other] Vidyas is in Goddess Kali, who gives

unsurpassed perfectness!

 

abheda~nchintayedyashcha kaulikassaH prakIrttitaH

kevalAM bhaktimAsthAya chaturvargaM labhetkare

13. A notable kaula who is in undivided realization and firmly

established in unified bhakti, [such sadhaka] obtains all four aims of

life.

 

vinA shaktiprasAdena na muktirjAyate priye

tasmAdbhaktyA sadA kaulo bhAvayechchhaktiyAmalam

14. O Dearest, The Liberation can not be obtained without Shakti's

Grace!

Therefore may be a devoted kaula always resides in state of union with

Shakti.

 

 

tR^itIyollasaH

The third blissful message.

 

shrIpArvatyuvAcha

devadeva jagannAtha karuNAkaravigraha

rasatattvopadeshaM me dehi priyatamaprabho

Boon-giving Parvati said:

1. O God of deities, Lord of the world, embodiment of compassion!

Bestow upon me a lesson about the essence of rasa, o my Beloved Lord!

 

sadAshiva uvAcha

raso hi mamatattvaM syAdrasashcha sarvavyApakaH

yo sarvasyarasaM vetti sa bhuvi mamarUpadhR^ik

Sadashiva answered:

2. Rasa is my essence, rasa permeats through every kind of things. My

visible form in the world is a knower of rasa.

 

pa~ncharasAH prANapreShThe tvekarasavibhedataH

tasmAdbhaktau bhavetsarvAstatsadbhaktishcha nAnyathA

3. O Beloved of [My] Life, five rasas [originate] from division of the

one rasa. Therefore all of them must be presented in bhakti, and only

such bhakti is true.

 

pa~nchakramAH parAbhaktyai pa~ncharasAH prakIrttitAH

kramasho vA kShaNAdvApi yogI sadrasiko bhavet

4. The five steps lead to higher Love, they are known as the five

rasas. Yogin [who perceive them] successively or instantly,

[establishes] in true rasa.

 

sushAntadAsyavAtsalyasAkhyebhyashchottamo rasaH

etadraso.asti shR^i~Ngaro mAdhuryashcha svabhAvajaH

5. It is shringara (love-sensual), madhurya (delightful) rasa that

exceeds shanta (neutral), dasya (people-service), vatsalya (parental)

and sakhya (friendly) [rasas].

 

sarvaM sahajatattve syAdasahajastu maiShatA

sahajashshuddhasattvaM hi guNAtItaM prabhAmayam

6. All [exists] in sahaja-tattva (the one essence, unified truth);

illusion is that is not sahaja. Sahaja is the pure existence, which

exceeds [three] gunas and is radiant.

 

rAgabhAve kulatattvaM rAgabhAve svayaM shivaH

shR^i~NgArarasabhAvena mukto bhavati sAdhakaH

7. The Truth of Kula is [hidden in] Lust, Shiva himself is [hidden in]

Lust.

Sadhaka becomes liberated by shringara-rasa-bhava (Love).

 

parAsaMvinmayI tArA premadhArA taDillatA

shR^i~NgArarasasAreNa parAvasthApradAnaghA

8. Tara (Savioress) is charged with Supreme Consciousness, She is a

Stream of Love, thunderbolt-like, She is Bestower of the Supreme State

through the essence of shringara-rasa, She is stainless.

 

sA tArA bhavasAgare.ativimalA premasvarUpA parA

devI shrI bhagavatyakAlasadanA nirvANadA j~nAnadA

sadbhaktAshrayadA mahAdyutikarA vajrAkhyA saikajaTA

sarveShu hR^idayeShu rAgamadanA sA rAgA yA muktidA

9-10. She Tara, who is Pure form of Love in the ocean of the world,

The Most Highness, Boon-giving Goddess, She resides in Yoni, lives in

Eternity and gives Liberation and Knowledge;

She gives refuge to true devotees, radiates the great light, she is

known as Vajra (lightning), Ekajata (one of three Tara forms). In all

hearts She (lives) like Love and Lust, the Lust, which gives

Liberation.

 

tArAbhakto naro bhUtwA sAdhayechcha mahAmanum

latAyukto yadi devi madhurAnandanirbharaH

11. The great mantra sadhana let be performed by those who become

devotees of Tara. O Goddess, if [such men] united with Shakti,

submerged into bliss,

 

tadA siddho bhavetkShipraM satyaM satyaM na chAnyathA

tasmAtsarvaprayatnena rAganItassadA bhavet

12. [they] quickly attains perfection - it's true, true and not

otherwise. Therefore let the Lust be your guide always and entirely

(lit. by all efforts).

 

premnA kAmo bhavechchhuddho nahi prema niShkAmataH

kAmenopAsayedvIra uddhatashchAtmani bhavet

13. Lust is refined by Love, Love is not arised from absence of lust.

Let vira (hero) worships [shakti] with lust and becomes spiritually

excited.

 

tArAj~nayA yajeddevIM svechchhAchAre mahAsukhe

sarvAtmanA sarvaprANaistadA gachchhetkulapathe

14. Of Tara's will let [he] worships the Goddess on the way of own

Will, in great happiness, with all heart and all vital powers - then

he goes on Kula Path.

 

kulAchAre mahAyogo mahAbhogastatraiva hi

mahAbhAvassAmarasyaM parAbhaktyAshcha mAdhurI

15. There are great Yoga, supreme bliss, supreme Samarasya state

( " orgasmic unity " ) and delight (also beauty) of the Higher Love in

Kula Path.

 

kulAchArassundaratve saundaryeNa paraM nahi

saundarye tu mahArasashshaktitattvaM mahAkulam

16. Adherence of Kula is in beauty, there is [nothing more] sublime

[than] beauty!

There are the supreme Rasa, the Essence of Shakti and great Kula in

beauty.

 

rUpaM dR^iShTwA tu praNamedrUpamAnandakArakam

vAmAsa~NgamamAtreNa rasalIno bhaveddhruvam

17. Bow to beauty forms in your sight! Beauty gives birth to the

Bliss.

By intercourse with Beautiful [sadhaka] surely becomes absorbed in

Rasa.

The fourth blissful message.

 

sadAshiva uvAcha

bho nAthe kAlike tAre yonirUpe mamapriye

brUhi me sarvachitpUrNe mahAtArAmahAmanum

Sadashiva asked:

1. O Lady Kalika Tara, Yoni-shaped, my Beloved! Tell me, o all-Awared,

the great Tara mantra of supreme Tara!

 

shrI tAriNyuvAcha

shR^iNu deva jagannAtha mahAvidyAmanuttamAm

nIlasarasvatIM tArAM dashavidyAsvarUpiNIm

Boon-giving Tarini said:

2. Listen, o God Lord of the world, to the best of Mahavidyas, Blue

Sarasvati, Saviouress, form of the ten Vidyas.

 

tAro mAyA vadhUH kUrcho.astrAntastArAmahAmanuH

sA vidyA paramAkAntA chidvilAsAyI muktidA

3. Om, Hrim, Strim, Hum and Phat - it's the great Tara mantra (OM hrIM

strIM hUM phaT).

She is Wisdom, Higher Beloved, enamoured Consciousness (also " play of

Consciousness " ), Liberation-giving Mother.

 

kalau sA chottamA deva sukhamokShapradAmbikA

rAmarUpe buddharUpe chehalokAvatAriNI

4. O God, in kali-yuga She is the best, Mother who gives Liberation

easily, [she] came to this world in bodies of Rama and Buddha.

 

na kadAchiddaNDikA sA kR^ipayastAriNI sadA

ugrApattAriNI yasmAdugratArA prakIrttitA

5. She never judges, [but] by Her Grace She always gives deliverance!

She is well-known as Ugra-Tara because She saves from terrible

disasters.

 

tArArchane nAsti pApaM nAsti puNyaM tathaiva cha

yo bhaktyA pracharechchhambho sa prasAdavaraM labhet

6. There are no sins and no virtues in Tara worship.

He who lives with bhakti obtains gift of Grace.

 

tArayA chaihikA bhaktistArayA mokSha eva hi

yadi tArA hR^idiprAptA tadA loke sadAkulaH

7. By Tara Love and Liberation is here [in this world].

If Tara resides in the heart, all world becomes eternal Kula!

 

muktidA kevaLA bhaktirnAsti chetarA tArikA

savAmayAnuraktistu sarvasyapApanAshinI

8. Only Love can give Liberation, there is no other salvation.

Love with Beautiful obliterates all kinds of sins.

 

bhavaduHkhaM bhavedvIra chaitanyasyAsampUrNatvAt

abhinnachetano yastu sa mahAsukhamAlabhet

9. O Hero, worldly miseries originates from non-integrity

(incompleteness) of life and consciousness.

The great Joy is obtained by him who has non-separated consciousness.

 

chaitanyapUrNatve shraddhA chaitanyapUrNatve ratiH

svachaitanyapUrNatvArpaNAnmahAtArA tuShyati

10. In plenitude of life and perception resides faith, in plenitude of

life and perception resides lust and satisfaction.

Great Tara can be satisfied [only] with offering of consciousness and

life entirely.

 

tasmAttArAM yajedvIro svachaitanyaM sadArpayet

sarvadA bhAvayettArAM sarvaM tArArpitam bhavet

11. Therefore let Tara be worshipped by vira, [who] always offer to

Her his own consciousness, let [he] always be aware of Her; let

everything be offered to Tara!

 

nAsti tAratvaM sarvesha tArayA vidyayA vinA

sA vidyA tArAvikhyAtA yA cha premapraNAlikA

12. O Lord of world, there is no deliverance without Tara-vidya!

It's the Stream of Love that is called Saving Vidya.

 

parAbhaktirihaloke chodbhavA shaktipAtataH

loke.api naiva lokAttu yadi lokAttadAdhamA

13. Higher bhakti is born in this world by descending of Shakti;

[it situated] in the world, but it is not worldly. If worldly [it's]

lower.

 

parAbhaktirihaloke dagdhajvAlA yathA sadA

yo tajjvAle bhaveddagdho nArakAgnau.apyullAsakaH

14. Higher bhakti in this world is always similar to scorching flame;

who has burned in this flame rejoices even in infernal fire.

 

ya ichchhennAnArUpANi trivargAdi sa laukikaH

yasmai bhaktirekaprAnassa vIrassa cha kaulikaH

15. He who wills various external forms and three aims of life

(prosperity, pleasures and righteousness) is worldly (laukika).

He who has Love as his only vital power is vira, he is kaulika.

 

tArakatvapradA tArA kevaLA bhaktirUpiNI

sA gaurI saiva rAdhA cha chhinnamastAsvarUpiNI

16. Tara, conferring Deliverance, the One, form of Love;

She is Gauri ( " Bright " ), She also Radha, Her form is Chhinnamasta;

 

sarvanArIShu prakaTA saMyogAnandasiddhidA

yonimadhye vikAsA cha hrIM strIM hUM preyasI parA

17. She is manifested in all women, She gives perfection in ecstasy of

Union, [she] is revealed in Yoni, hrIM strIM hUM, She is Beloved, The

Most Highness!

 

sadAshiva uvAcha

namaste shAmbhavi devi bhavasaMsAratAriNi

vada me karuNApUrNe kaliyugasya kIrtanam

18. Sadashiva said:

I bow to You, Boon-giving Goddess, who saves from the ocean of

samsara!

Proclaim to me, o Compassionate Lady, the glorification of kali-yuga!

 

shrI tAriNyuvAcha

pravakShyAmi mahannAtha kaliyugasya vaibhavam

asmin kAle.a.akAshavANI vyaktA sambhavati dhruvam

19. Boon-giving Tarini said:

I proclaim to you, o Lord of greatness, the power and the glory of

kali-yuga:

Spatial Speech surely becomes apparent in this time.

 

divyavANI mahAtArA vasati lokamadhyake

pravale cha kalau deva bhavetprasAdasamplavam

20. Divine Speech, Great Tara, dwells in the world.

O God, [in] culmination of kali-yuga [the world] will be submerged

with Grace!

 

kulArNavo bhavArNavaM kalau samplAvayiShyati

bhedahIno kAlamukto vishvaloko mahAkulaH

21. In kali-yuga the Ocean of Kula will submerge the ocean of samsara!

[And there will be] the one world, non-divided, free from time, Great

Kula,

 

premapUrNassatyarUpo.achintyatattvaM parampadam

tasmAduttamakAlastu kalau shaktiprasAdataH

22. suffused with Love, the image of Truth, the Supreme State of

inconceivable nature.

Therefore kali-yuga is the best time by Shakti's Grace.

 

anyayugeShu guptA sA kalau vyaktA prasAdinI

kShiprasiddhipradA yasmAdbhuvi vAmAvatAriNI

23. In other yugas She (Shakti) was concealed, in kali-yuga [she is]

revealed and Gracious, gives Perfection quickly, since [she] descends

in the world as Vama (Beautiful, woman).

Good Parvati said:

1. O God Lord of the World, tell me about unexcelled exaltation of

women.

O Beloved, I wish to listen to this mystery of great Kula (Shakti)!

 

sadAshiva uvAcha

mamaprANanADi rAdhe ramye ramaNIrUpiNi

idaM rahasyaM kulasyAmR^itAsye shR^iNu pArvati

Sadashiva answered:

2. O Beautiful Radha, Stream of My Life, the Sweetening aspect!

Your mouth is full of Nectar of Immortality, o Parvati, so listen to

this mystery of Kula:

 

sastriyA madhuraprema striyA mokShastathaiva cha

strI sAkShAtkulamUrtistu striyAH parataro nahi

2. The delightful Love [arises] with a woman, through a woman

Liberation [can be achieved].

A woman is a manifested icon of Kula; a woman is superior.

 

striyo devyasstriyaH prANAsstriya eva vibhUShaNam

strIsa~NginA sadA bhAvyamanyathA svastriyA api

4. Women are goddesses, women are the breath of Life, women are

treasure;

abiding with your or somebody else's woman always shall be the rule.

 

sarve loke na jAnAmi strItulyaM daivataM priye

indraviShNumaheshAdi sadA strIjanasevakAH

5. O Beloved, in all the world I don't know [such a manifestation of]

Divinity, which can be equal [in sublimity] to a woman!

Indra, Vishnu, Mahesha and other [gods] are eternal servants of woman.

 

striyA sarvajagadvyaktastasyAmante pralIyate

pa~nchakR^ityA vadhUmUlAH pa~nchabrahmAdhikA vadhUH

6. All this world manifests itself through a woman, and in the end it

dissolves in her.

The five powers (i.e. powers of Creation, Sustenance, Destruction,

Concealment and Revealing) are rooted in a woman; a woman surpasses

all brahmas (i.e. Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Mahesha and Sadashiva - the

five faces of Shiva).

 

vadhUpUjAM sadA kuryAtprasannA yena jAyate

sukhaM shaktiprasanne tu duHkhaM tadvarjanAdbhavet

7. Always a woman must be honoured by such means she is contented

with.

Satisfied woman gives happiness, and disaster is evolved out of

[sadhaka's] non-obeisance.

 

na pUjayati chetkAntAM tadA vighnaissa lipyate

tasmAtsarwaprayatnena bhaktyA kAntAM santoShayet

8. Who does not honour his Beloved will be stuck in obstacles.

Therefore a Mistress must be satisfied with all vigor and Love.

 

strItuShTiH kAlikA tuShTiriti kaularahodhanam

vinA shaktyA na siddheta tasmAchchaktiM samAshrayet

9. " Contentment of woman is contentment of Kalika " - this is the

innermost secret of Kula. The Perfection can't be attained without

her, therefore [let sadhakas] abandon themselves in woman.

 

striyo gatisstriyaH prANAsstriyassiddhir na saMshayaH

nArINAM smaraNe kAlI smaritA syAnna saMshayaH

10. Women are the Way [to The Highest], women are the breath of Life,

they are the Perfection surely! By remembering of woman Kali is

remembered, it's doubtless.

 

sa vIro mamatulyo hi yasstrIsevakassadA

satsevA premasampUrNA satsevA mokShadvArakA

11. It's a hero like Me who always serves a woman. True service is

full of Love and it's a door to Liberation!

 

sahaje mAdhuryabhAve kaulassaMsevayetstriyam

sarvAtmanA sarvaprANaissarvadhanaissadA priye

12. O Beloved, let kaula serves a woman in delightful unrestricted

Feeling - by all his soul, life and possessions.

 

shayyAyAM vanitArUpaM pUjayetkAmatAriNIm

vanitApUjane devi shR^i~NgArarasasAdhanam

13. Let he worships Lustful Savioress in image of Beloved in bed!

O Goddess, the sadhana of shringara-rasa (the highest sense) is in

worship to Beloved.

 

pUjane navadhA bhaktirasollAsashcha jAyate

Ali~Ngana~nchumbana~ncha stanayormardanaM tathA

14. The Rejoicing of Love is born in this worship, [it consists of]

the nine [tinges].

Embraces, kisses, caressing of breasts,

 

darshanaM sparshanaM yonervikAraM li~NgagharShaNam

praveshassthApanaM shakternavapuShpANi pUjane

15. contemplation, touch, pulsation of Yoni, friction of Lingam,

entering and consolidation in Shakti - this is the nine flowers in

worship.

 

yonichumbanakaM karma shakterAli~NganaM tathA

na karoti naro yastu sa kathaM tavapUjakaH

16. He who doesn't embrace woman and doesn't kiss her Yoni - can he

serve you at all?

 

vAmAchAro bhaktihIno vR^ithA devi na saMshayaH

evaM yasya dR^iDhA bhaktissa vAme siddhimApnuyAt

17. It's certain, o Goddess, that vamacara practice is futile without

Love.

The perfection in the Way of Vama can be attained only by intense

bhakti (devotional feeling).

 

kAmarUpe premasindhurvadhUrUpe tu rAdhikA

talpe vR^indAvanaM dhAmaM svayamAtmani govindaH

18. The Stream of Love has a form of Lust, a woman is an image of

Radhika,

the Heaven World (Vrindavana-dhama) is in a bed, the Spirit is Govinda

(Giver of Light, Krishna);

 

ratikrIDA rAsalIlA mahAspandasvarUpiNI

sa~Ngamena sAmarasyamiti vidyA vimuktaye

19. a romance is Rasa-lila, the image of great Vibration (spanda).

Samarasya through coition is the remissive Knowledge.

The sixth blissful message.

 

shrI pArvatuvAcha

pa~nchavaktra mahAdeva shrIsadAshiva muktida

vada me tava kAruNyAtpa~nchatattvaM sugopitam

Good Parvati said:

1. O Great Five-faced God, Eternal Giver of Grace and Liberation!

Favour Me and tell about the hidden [mystery of] panchatattva!

 

sadAshiva uvAcha

yadA mano.akShobhito maunarUpastadA saMlIno paramAtmani syAt

hR^idi cha kumbho parapremapUrNo bhaviShyati maithyasaMsAragrAsaH

2. " If a mind is still and silent, it dissolutes in the Highest

Spirit; and a heart is a vessel filled with love - [then] the illusive

samsara absorbs.

 

tachchhuddhasthAne vasati parAmbA shrI sundarI prItiprakAshayuktA

yoShAsu sarvAsu cha bahirvikAshA tasmAddhi tAbhissukhamokShalAbhaH

3. The Highest Mother resides in this pure state, Good and Beautiful,

charged with the Light of Love, externally [she] manifests in all

women. Therefore happiness and Liberation can be obtained through

them.

 

kaulA namanti tripurAM parAmbAm pa~nchairmakAraissevayanti nityam

ArAdhanAdrAdhAgovindabhAve vR^indAvano vyakto bhavatyaparNe

4. Kaulas worship Highest Mother Tripura (Triple-shaped) and always

serve Her through

panchatattva. O Aparna (Durga), by devotion in Radha-Govinda (Love)

state, [Heavenly] Vrindavan manifests [on earth].

 

makAraM pa~nchakaM devi tava rUpaM sanAtanam

pa~nchatattvamiti khyAtaM pa~ncharashmyA chopAsitam

5. O Goddess, the five makaras are Your eternal image called

panchatattva (fivefold essence). It is worshipped by pancha-rashmi

[mantra, i.e. OM hrIM strIM hUM phaT].

 

pa~nchatattve kAmatArA pa~nchatattve mahAratiH

kAmatastArakatvantu yadA kAme vipashyanA

6. Kama-Tara [resides] in panchatattva, panchatattva is great delight

(Lust); Lust can Liberate if It is contemplated.

 

AnandaM brahmaNo rUpaM kAmena sulabha~Nkila

pa~nchamakAraH kAmasya svarUpantu prakIrttitam

7. Bliss is form of Absolute and it can be achieved through Lust.

The five makaras are known as true Nature of Lust.

 

yasmAtkALI kAmasa~nj~nA shR^i~NgArarasabhAvinI

vinA makArayogena naiva tuShyati kAlikA

 

8.

Kalika can't be satisfied without five makaras yoga.
