This has been a constant and a regular ask by many on multiple groups.

Some time back some Gurubhai had converted some of my sharing in english, which is still available at issp-south.

let's get into some details here....

Before doing any sadhana or mantra japa, Aasan shuddhi, bhoot shuudhi, digbandhan, guru poojan is a must. Then follows the nyas, dhyan etc... and then the final mantra japa.

Any of these steps has a deep meaning, and more one understands he does it better, as any activity in Tantra is not a mechanical activity which means, even if you chant 1 crore times any mantra, it will not get you any results !!

Devotion to the ishta, mantra devata is a must. Thats why you will see referances in tantra books to have "Kulkula stapana" of mantra to be done before mantra chanting. Which in a way instantiates an "ansh / small portion" of God / Mantra in your boday. And when you chant a mantra, its not mere words, but the whole body becomes MANTRAMAYA. And each and evry atom, molecule of your body has to chant that mantra. To attain this, each and every atom of the body has to be chaitanya, and thats why our daily pooja includes chanting of "Chaitanya Mantra" : what are we saying in our chaitanya mantra? ---

"Om Hreem Mama Prana Deha, Rom PratiRom Chaitanya Jagraya Hreem OM Namaha"

In which we request to permatma to make each and every atom of our body a "Chaitanya".

Only when the body is chaitanya, and when you do nyas, and chant mantra... one can experience that the Mantra chanting indeed is happening in the whole body. Mantra chanting has 3 methods, Wachic, Upanshu and manasik. In the third manasik type of japa, the mantra is not at all uttered or even whispered... just a mere thought of it... its meaning... its exact pronounciation in MIND causes whole body to become MANTRAMAYA".... and when this happens.... the grace of lord is showered on us, and that Mantra becomes Siddha !!

With this background..... does that conversion of some Hindi / Sanskrit pronounciation in English would count? Without having understanding its useless.....

The reality is, even if we have little understanding, God is so great, so mercyful, he still showers his grace a bit... and people see results, even if that mantra is not siddha for a specific sadhak.

Imagine the kind of success you could have when mantra is made siddha to you....... I recall one famous sher

"Khudi ko ker Buland itna ki, her Takdeer likhane se pahele, khuda tumse pooche, bata aai bande mere, teri raza kya hai"

Which means, be so STRONG, that even if God wants to write your fate, he will ask you, what is your wish !!

Anand
