Guest guest
Hi, How r u doing? I think, RacialDiscrimination is strictly inhuman, disgusting and ridiculous. People seem toforget the meaning of humanity today and in this present world ofGlobalization, this is extremely horrible! Isn't it? The much-watched realityTV show "celebrities' Big Brother" screened on the U.K. 's Channel 4, whichinvolves famous people being filmed 24x7, all locked in a house in London ..Shilpa Shetty, 1 of 9 celebrities and the first Indian actor to participate inthis show seems to be allegedly targeted by some housemates in there, allbecause she is an `Indian'. Harsh comments on her include being called as a dogand some asking her to clean the toilet with her teeth. She's been tauntedabout her skin color, her accent and cooking. All in all, Shilpa appears tohave a very hard time coping with Big Brother's alien environment and a certainresentment from some of her housemates. Lately when the actress broke down totears due to those racist comments, all the angry viewers ran to call justicefor her. Racial discrimination isnot acceptable, utterly shameful and intolerable everywhere. Shilpa being apublic figure was top listed to be discussed very elaborately in this matterbut caseis not the same when a common Indian is being chased. Shilpa's case, however is now solved, but many people who migrate for multiple purposes fromour country are forced to face such disgusting actions. How about him/her?Though the legislation affirms that all employees are protected by the equalemployment opportunity laws, regardless of their citizenship or workauthorization status, we find many racially assaulted employees all around theglobe crying for care and justice. I think now this issue of racialdiscrimination needs to be handled carefully and fast. Don'tyou think so? I believe, humiliationon racial groundsis absolutely immoral and it is unethical to harass people ontheir regionalism base. We all should strongly condemn this attitude andrequest the government to work seriously against these abuses. Steps must beinitiated to stop this and other such kinda observations. I guess, the problemis lack of awareness and also the proper way to handle it; hence, I wouldrequest to the Government to educate such people by awarding excellentpunishment lessons. What do you say? People who are fallingprey to this kinda Xenophobia are afraid to raise their voices. Therefore, ouradministration needs to set up a platform, a forum where voices can be raised, heard and solutions found. Authorities must take action now! Pls join with meto combat against Racial Discrimination at http://www.jantaraj.com/Karran/defaultpet.asp?pid=702 ThanQ so much for urtime. Ur new friend, Mehak Malhotra.
