In last post we saw how Tantra divides this universe into four portion each having different tattwas... these portions are Turiya Tattwa, Shiva Tattwa, Vidya Tattwa and Atam Tattwa.

The Bramh or the supreme god as per Tantra is not Turiya but Sakal Tattwa (sakal - all). God is also called Sachidananda or Sat-chit-ananda. Here Atam Tattwa is Sat, Vidya Tattwa is Chit and shiva Tattwa is Ananda.

Hence they worship Aum Sakal Tattwaye Swaha...means to worship real god, we have to worship all tattwas including the material universe which is Sat Tattwa

Here Tantra and shakta path...entirely refute the Maya philosophy of Vedantis...and void of Nihilists. Tantra says the whole Universe is a part of SAT...means Truth.

In last post i had told about Shiva Tattwa and Vidya Tattwa. Now we will see the Atam Tattwa...which contains 31 tattwas viz.

1- Maya: the energy of goddess shakti which separates the Atam Tattwa from other Tattwas is called Maya. Here Maya is not taken as a cheater, or as false or as servant of god…but a power of God, which is required to manifest the universe. As long as there is no partition between the god and his manifestation there is no use of the manifestation, as there will be no creation, no search and no bliss…as everything will know they are god so no element will try to search the truth, which is the basic concept of manifestation of this universe.

2-Avidya – In vidya Tattwa there are three tattwas Sadashiva, Ishwar and vidya. Vidya is the power of god to know himself as Ishwara…the force created by Maya, which binds a part of ishwara as Jeeva is called Avidya. This Avidya is the root cause of this manifestation and our sufferings and pains, even our sadhna and moksha…becase as this Avidya Tattwa is purified into Vidya, we are said to be enlightened.

2- Kalaa : This is Kalaa (not kaal the time). Kalaa is the force of Adi shakti which checks the powers of god (like omnipresent, omnipotent etc)…and makes a portion of god as jeeva.

3- Raag : Since kalaa withdraws the all power of God, the jeeva (individual soul), tries to hold on to what ever is left with him… the Moha or attraction for own things is called Raag

4- Kaal (Time) Maya and Avidya snatches all the powers of god and make him jeeva. Kaal tattwa tells the jeeva that he is dead or born, or is becoming younger or older. Instead of God's no-time state jeeva gets to the concept of time and hence moves accordingly.

5- Niyati : Since Jeeva loses the bliss and freedom of sadashiva, it is destined not to be blissful and slavery of other elements of Maya. This is called Niyati (destiny) as all living beings have pre-fixed destiny of living dying etc.

6- Jeeva : the portion of Shiva which is affected by Maya, Avidya, Raag, Kalaa, Kaal and Niyati is called Jeeva.

7- Prakriti : The lower manifestation of Shakti which is made of 3 gunas (Sat, Ra & Tam) is called Prakrity

8- Mind : Rajoguna of prakriti manifests as Universal mind, our mind being a small part of universal mind

9- Buddhi :- Sat guna of prakriti manifests as Universal intelligence, and our buddhi is a smaller part of that

10- Ahankaar: Tam guna of prakrity manifests as Universal Ahankar, our ego is a smaller part thereof.

11-31 are the five Tanmatras (subtle organs) of touch, form, taste, smell and word from which 5 sense organs are made and 5 work organs are made.

Akaash (ether), Vayu (air), agni(fire), jal (water) and Prithvi (solidity) are the last five tattwas.

As per Tantra the total sum of all these 36 Tattwas is Turiya or Brahmm Tattwa, the real god. Hence Tantra does not reject any thing. It tells us to understand all the tattwas control them and know that we are actually Sakal Tattwas.

The power of Turiya or Brahm lies in him as Maha Saraswati who rides Hans (swan). H is the beeja mantra of Shiva and "S" is the beeja mantra of Shakti…together it makes Hans…means Shiva + Shakti.

Nature is chanting this Hans Mantra bringing shiva tattwa "H" towards shakti "S". When we do sadhna we chant the opposite Mantra Soham… "S" shakti tattwa is taken towards "H" shiva tattwa. This is called Ajapa jaap (the unchanted mantra)

Hans mantra is being chanted by Mother Shakti through us through our respiration and we do this mantra 21600 times a day (through respiration). When we start chanting Soham Mantra our reverse journey towards shiva is started.

Tantra further says "Shivo bhutwa shivam yajet"…. Become Shiva to worship shiva. So when we purify the lower Atma Tattwas, we know our solidarity with Shiva…and later we know we are shiva, ourselves watching this dream called universe, each jeeva being the actor in the dream.

So Tantra's Mool Mantra is that

Jivatama should do Yoga with Paramtama, God who is Sat-chit-ananda, undivided, greatest, subtler than atom,non-destined, and only to be seen by Bhava, who is light of the lights, who is 36 Tattwas but still beyond Tattwas.
