Yes and Iswara himself manifested as Jiva by voluntarily accepting Maya's veil on his atomic part, so that he can enjoy the leela of the universe. When a part of god is covered by Raag, Kaal, Kalaa, Niyati and avidya, it is Jiva and it is our Niyati (destiny) to be subject to space and time.
