He said helping Duryodhan was his duty- which is > another sign of attachment- it justifies its behaviour using logics. > ANSWER Karna had no relation with Pandavas at that time . Bhai aur bahen ke riste janam se nahin balki karam se banate hain . Lord Sri Krishna himself said " janam se koi kshtriya ,Brahman nahin hota , par apne karmoon se hota hai Paarth " . one has to prove that He is kshtriya or Brahman or ,........ on what basis Karna should have left Duryodhan who gave Him an Identity or a life or the purpose of his life . what was important for Karna in his life . He fought for becoming a great Dhanurdhar from his childhood . and what was the use of his life ,if He could not had got the chance to appear in skill test. He was the person who had given a new dimension to the skill test , that how Guru Dron can announce Shrestha Dhanurdhar to Arjun , when He does not know that there could be others too . Karna's life was finished that time ,if He could not had got a chance . then who gave a life to him . Duryodhan . He was everything for Karna . In fact the life of Karna was his life after skill test " Mitra , mera jeevan ab tuhare liye hai " . if Karna could had left Duryodhan in those conditions then what He might be called today in the history " dogala or dhokhebaaj " . are jo insan uska nahin ho saka jisne jeevan diya , o kisi aur ka kya ho sakta hai . the purpose of the life is not FOR roti ,Kapra aur makan only and to pass the time . but the purpose of the life is to establish a dharma / ideals for the inspiration for the next generation . Karna had no transaction of Karma with Pandavas , he had the transaction of the karmas with the Duryodhan only. and that was not attachment , but that is called dharma that He had duties for Duryodhan in any conditions weather to live or to die for Duryodhan . the life of the Karna was decided by some rules or boundations and these boundations were nothing but to be dutyfull , faithfull , truthfull for Duryodhan . > Kindness & giving to charity are not necessarily signs of great Souls- > after all, Asuras(demons) are known to be kind. Ravan, even though he > was very egoistical, was a very good king, who treated his subjects > very well. His city Lanka was made of gold- showing what a generousman > he was, that everyone in his Kingdom could afford to build houses of > gold. But this doesnt change fact he was also an Asur. > ANSWER Here i would like to say that Daan and daya are different . daan is of four kind and Karna was the Daani of the heighest kind what i think . because He had no selfish for his Daan that is why he is also known as Daan Vir Karna . i think my language sounds to be arrogent but meri english hi aisi hai , so please if you feel something than please forgive me Question for all : why Karna gave kavach and kundal to Lord Indra ,when he was dutyfull to Duryodhan ie Karna's aim might be to win the war and hence He should not donate kavach & kundal .then why Karna had done it HARE KRISHNA ,HARE KRISHNA ,KRISHNA KRISHNA ,HARE HARE,HARE RAMA ,HARE RAMA ,RAMA RAMA ,HARE HARE
