Guest guest
Namaste! In the Mahabharat, only 3 people heard Gita live- Arjun, Sanjay, & through him Dhritrashtra. Arjun got Moksha, but why did it have no effect on Dhritrashtra ? Also, does anyone know what happened to Sanjay- did he become enlightened? love Shantnu

Sanjay had lot of love for krishna, that would have got him to heaven. Dhritrashtra, did not actually listen to geeta, but just listened to war scenes.... his future was certainly not bright. aum

Parmatma to usi ke samaksha sakshat roop se darsan dete hain jo moksha ke yogya hota hai " > How Arjuna was died ,.................could someone tell me reference for the life of Pandavas after the war . Though Lord himself said that only one person is responsible for the war and everything that is Dhritrastra because He was the King and all the decisions were taken by the King , ie the king could stop everything . Vidur had seen the Virat Swaroop of the God or not . If He had not quitted the job ,then He could had seen the Virat Swaroop of the God surely. could you please add something .............................. According to what i know little of mahabharata Krishna tells Arjuna to take care of the older and women folk and move them towards the city and krishna leaves. Arjuna with all his pride as Dhanurveer leads the group and on the way somewhere near kathiawad modern Gujerat the dacoits attack and Arjuna with all his bravado and Gandeeva Dhanush could not protect and save the group. I think all were killed accept Arjuna and he is rendered unconscious by the blow of one of the dacoits. When he regains consciousness he feels so weak and helpless and keeps wondering what happened to all his strength and power and that time krishna comes and tells him that everything has a time duration and that all his strength has gone and he has become old and should retire to forest. He then reaches the city and meets his other brothers. They discuss amongst themselves and decide to go in human form to Swarga - heaven. As they are leaving towards himalayas Yuddhistra leads the pack accompanied by a dog, followed by Bheema then Arjuna then Draupadi followed by Nakul and Sahadev. As they are walking towards the steep ravines in the himalayas Draupadi falls down dead but no body bothers and continue walking at which Bheema screams and asks Yuddhistra why she died and he replies she was partial to Arjuna. They walk further and then Nakul (I think) dies and again Bheema ask and is told that Nakul was proud of his profession i.e. tending of the horses and cattles, then Sahadev collapses and again Bheema screams while all continuing to tread the path and Yuddhistra says he was also proud of his looks and his knowledge of Astrology (I think), Further walking then Arjuna collapses and again Bheema asks and Yuddhistra says Arjuna was proud of his Dhanur Vidya and then Bheema and Yuddhistra continue walking along with the dog when Bheema senses he is going to die and wants to know why he is dying and Yuddhistra without looking back says you were greedy for food that is why you are dying. Yuddhistra along with the dog continues and then Astral ruler comes in person to take Yuddhistra in physical body but he puts condition that his dog also be allowed which is refused by the astral ruler to which Yuddhistra refuses to accompany the astral being (ruler) to the heaven and then suddenly the dog turns into Yama Raj and blesses Yuddhistra for his steadfastness in sticking to Dharma principles and the three move towards heaven and there a shocking site awaits him. He sees all Kauravas enjoying in heaven while none of his brothers are there and when told they are in hell he prefers to move there then be in heaven and again he is blessed for his Dharma principles. There is still plenty to go but i remember upto this only. Hope this will wet your appetite to know what happened after the war. With warm wishes Sudhakar HARI OM TAT SAT Cheers! ) > How Arjuna was died ,.................could someone tell me > reference for the life of Pandavas after the war . >

Guest guest
> Pandavas. But will you please elaborate the last portion... why > kauravas were in heaven and pandavas in hell ?? I think this was another test-he was given option of living in heaven forever with Kauravs, but he refused, saying that such a place would be hell itself. Then he found out that Kauravs had been allowed 1 day in heaven for few good deeds they had one(also, Karna had asked for a boon that everyone who died in Mahabharat would goto heaven- which Krishna gave him, but not forver). Pandavs had to live in hell for 1 day for few sins they had done. After Yudhistras decision, Pandavs were sent to heaven, & Kauravs to hell. After Shantanuji's reply i need not answer your question as he has explained everything. Why Yuddhistra had to see hell for a short time because of the lie that Ashwatama man or elephant is dead. For saying this he had a glimpse of hell they say further after this episode of telling Dronacharya Yuddhistra's chariot which was always moving few inches above the earth because he was a truthful person started touching the earth because of this half lie. With warm wishes, Sudhakar HARI OM TAT SAT! Cheers! )

I sometimes surprise as to why Arjuna did not get Moksha and had to be satisfied with heaven. Arjuna had seen the Viraat Swarup of god...and after seeing the Truth... one is free from any illusions...and thus moves on to Moksha... But this did not happen with Arjuna, the dearest friend and lover of Krishna...not getting Moksha is not a little bit surprising ?? Do you have some explanation for this.... Guest guest
RAM RAM Thanks to all for beautifull answers for the life of the pandavas after the war. why Pandavas refused to live in heaven . if you say because of Kauravas ,it means they were hating with kauravas . why . i think pandavas were not like that ,and after Mahabharat they might be of the yogic in nature and yoga does not allow to hate someone .there is nothing to hate in this world , as everything is the God. Karna lost the feeling of hate with Arjun when Lord Sri Krishna said that they are your brothers. Karna said to the Lord Sri Krishna Why you have snached my hate for pandavas now when i am going to fight in the war .how i will fight with Pandavas . still He said that i will fight for the sake of friendship Dharma without pain and pleasure.even if the God will say to me that " Karna do not fight " then also i will not obey the order of the God. or what was the problem with pandavas to live in heaven . please express your views. and why you could not see Maan Draupadi there in heaven . also you could not see Vidur there . Karna might be there to welcome and for meeting pandavas for some time , there is no doubt in it . because He was free to move anywhere . I think that even after living with Krishna, Arjun never really became fully Divine. The Pandavas were Sattwic in nature, but Satogun leads one to heaven, not Moksha. For Moksha, one has to go beyond the gunas & prakriti, & live in the pure spirit- Brahm, Shiv or Narayan. In the whole of Mahabharat, no one really lived perfectly except for Krishna. Bhishm & Vidur came close, thats why they could see viraat form of Krishna. Arjuna needed Krishnas help to see that, which shows he wasnt that advanced. It also shows that just being close to God isnt enough, one still has to do the work to get moksha. love shantnu
