Guest guest
Jai Sri Ram Here is my new blogpost on the subject ' Who will save our Harijans'- The Christians or our Hindu bretheren ? http://templerevival.blogspot.com/2008/03/continuing-christian-oppression-of.htm\ l I have been trying to make us all see focussed in this matter ofdalits. Before the missionaries trample on our brethren, we shouldimmediately change our attitude viv a vis dalits. The achilles heal ofour great tradition is this 'Dalit issue'. The sooner we sort it outamong ourselves, we are nearer our ideals of reaching the 'Jagad Guru'status, which we held till a few centuries back.. Guest guest
Dear Venkat and other Hindu devotees, I have gone through the blog. As rightly pointed out Casteism is our Achille`s heel . But those who converted to Christianity a generation ago are repenting. They are advising their relations not to reveal their conversions. During this generation all Christians have two names one Hindu and other Christian. This is to ensure " reservations " in universities and legislators. Matrimonial advertisements are replete with desired matches like " Maala Christian " Maadiga Christians " etc. In Andhra Pradesh Dalits are mainly of four types.Mala,Madiga,Relli and Chachati. Dalits of one caste are superior to dalits of other caste. For all practical purposes there are no scavenger Christians in Andhra Pradesh. Caste divide is the one which gives Christian missionaries and politicians to exploit these Dalits.. Missionaries benefit by foreign funds and politicians by votes There is total lack of political will to reduce caste divide. That lack of political will is called SECULARISM. In Lok Sabha while supporting Deve Gowda as the Prime minister, Ram Vilas Paswan a dalit MP said " See we have not allowed a single Brahmin to become a minister in this cabinet " Brahmins are the present untouchables. I am like you. Very keen to remove caste system but how ? Guest guest
Who will save our Harijans- Nobody! The Harijans will have to save themself, like the rest of us. :-D I remember a story- a rich student once felt sorry for some poor children working on street. His guru laughed & said " All your wealth & comforts, has it made you any closer to God? These poor people know the value of God more than you, as they struggle to survive. So their faith is proably stronger than yours. So should you be pitying them, or should they be pitying you? " On a separate issue, I have seen some strong language expressed here. Can I please remind everyone(while Babaji is away)- we are allowed strong views, but not strong language. Namaste! Shantnu
Guest guest
Dalits: Who are dalits? Humans who are physically impared and helpless to earn on their own. None other is dalit as our casteism spells. It was all for political wooing and fake sympathy to earn votes. They were awarded reservations at all stages. Now have keen review of this and one will fine not even 1% of dalits have progressed along with other castes, apart from the reservations. Because of reservations, there are number of educated dalits who do not want to turn back to their villages once they get safe and good jobs and even they themselves hesitate to pick-up some good aspirants from their villaves for higher studies in cities. What ever is being done is all a farce. They are provided free education and still how many promote their children to join schools? Several decades decades are over and still more than 70% population of dalits is uneducated and under poverty line? Who prevented them? None but their own " Will to Work for Progress " . Those who accept, accelerate their lives and those who do not, sit idle, face hardships. In the cities we can very well observe that most of the maid servants in good localities and colonies are dalits residing in slums. They work hard and honestly and earn money and their men? they grab all the earnings of their wives and daughters, sisters and spend on liquers, cinemas, videon, gambling and all passing the times in sqares and footpaths. Many maids do not accept left over, remaining or earlier day's food for their childdren as they are well smell of intentions behind it and children in such huts are brilliant and striving to come up. I have seen many families who work for upliftment of down-troden ones. But many times these people want everything free that too at their place and are not ready to work at all? Who will give and up to what time? There is an urgent nee of another 'Ambedkar " to teach dalits to get educated and work hard for upliftment. Now a days none is refusing jobs to good ones and in many molls, big establishments, and at many places these dalit boys who are ready to work hard and honestly are getting jobs and opportunities and are progressing very well. Hence if these people are inspired to get educated, to work hard, they will progress themselves. They do not want sympathy or compassion, they need close instigators and promotors who will shake their hearts and sharpen their mind to stand up at their own. This needs to be done by social NGOs who are independent of politics and publicity at any level. ______ Posted through Grouply, the better way to access your like this one.
