Guest guest
Namaste! Everyone has heard of Pran, yet few know Pran is part of the trinity of Tejas, Pran & Ojas. The highest form of God is said to exist in Sat-Chit-Anand(Truth-Conciousness-Bliss). From this, the 3 priciples arise: 1. From the Sat (or Truth or Eternal) part of Brahm arises Pran, which gives us a feeling of immortality. In our body it manifests as Vata(or the 5 types of Pran that keep us alive). Disconnection with our Pran causes fear of death. 2. From the Chit(or Pure Awareness) part of Brahm arises Tejas, the power of perception & discrimination. In our body it manifests as the digestive fire. Tejas gives us power to digest thoughts & ideas, & disconnection with makes us confused & unable to discriminate b/w truth & Maya. 3. Ojas- The Anand(Bliss, Love) part of Brahm arises Ojas, the power of Love & bliss. In our body it manifests as all the tissues that keep us alive, but especially the reproductive fluids. Disconnection with our Ojas causes us to seek Love & happiness outside our body, when the real source of bliss is inside us. These 3 are the main elements Vedic Yoga, which is much older than Patanjalis or Hatha or Tantric Yoga(all of which are derived from Vedic Yoga). Tejas was worshipped as Agni, or principle of Light, discrimination, Atma. Tejas is also a form of the Kundalni Shakti of Tantra. Ojas was worshipped as Soma, or the Moon. All the Gods drank Soma, which wasnt wine(as most people think), but the principle of bliss. In our head is a secret Bindu chakra(where some Hindus keep a tuft of hair), which is the source of Soma. This Soma, however is hidden, & has to be liqufied with the power of the Kundalni. Pran was worshipped as Indra, or the principle of Pure Mind & Pure Life Force(which are linked togther). Indra is only born once Agni(Kundalni) & Soma(Shiva) combine, which means the real Pranic force can only be accessed by advanced Yogis. To be continued.............. Guest guest
Dear SAADHAKS and SHANRACER, Thankfully a new topic of interest is started. It is yet to be concluded but methinks SAT CHIT ANAND though is a trinity exists in us in toto . What I want to convey is that any human to have a full and fruitful life must have Sat = truly Chit =mindful/spiritful (of) Anand =bliss. Only enlightened souls get this spiritual bliss in their life time. Saadhus,Sants etc. Those who achieve this state continue to live in the hearts of their followers. and influence the lives of their devotees. In Hindu tradition to preserve their influence , their bodies are not cremated after death but only buried. Shankaracharya,Sri Ramanujacarya,Madhvacharya,Saibaba of Shiridi etc. SHANRACER is requested to enlighten further . I believe dead saints show powers to mould us . Awaiting full text and criticism/comments. yours truly ijswamy shanracer <no_reply > wrote: Namaste! Everyone has heard of Pran, yet few know Pran is part of the trinity of Tejas, Pran & Ojas. It is believed that Saints have so purified their body, that they leave off positive energy even thousands of years after their death, which can be used by their Bhaktas. The only reason bodies are burnt is to break the connection between the soul & its body(sometimes the soul hovers around the body, hoping it can get back in. If you have heard of/seen ghosts that look like skeletons or zombies, these are souls that are still hovering around their dead body, hoping to get in. Since their physical body has decayed, they look like skeletons. Thats why in India they burnt the body so the soul would have to move on.). Since great Yogis didnt have this problem, their bodies could be safely buried. Where they are buried becomes a great energy source, & a temple can be built there. Sat Chit Anand is our real nature. The whole goal of Yoga is to merge back into our real nature. We are Beings of Light, Love and Immortality, we just have to remember who we are. love Shantnu

You are right. Most advanced Yogis leave the body willingly- they bring their Pran to the top of their head & leave through the top of head. This secret place is mentioned as far as in the Vedas. I was reading somewhere that Ganapati Muni(the chief disciple of Raman Maharishi) opened this centre while he was still alive, & his students could see a light above his head.
