Guest guest
Could someone comment on the significance of the following: Hare Ram, Hare Ram, Ram Ram, Hare Hare Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare. I never knew that Hare means 'I surrender', in addition to 'I pray'. The above mantra means that I pray and surrender my ego to Ram and Krishna. Swamy Prabhupad said that this was the only mantra required to attain Moksha. I would love to hear a more complete explanation. THANKS SIR JI FOR A GREAT QUESTION , CONTINUE THE SATSANG SIr Ji this is Mahamantra i started chanting this mantra Since 2006 initially i was not knowing what is the meaning , i was attracted by the Lord to chant . i tried and i found that this Mantra has some effect . i have not met with any HARE KRISHNA GROUP for knowing this Mantra meaning and i asked so many question on Messanger . Some Sadhakas gave knowledge whole heartly . My experiences 1. after some time first i expereince that you would not be tired in chanting this mantra. 2. chanting with the concentration on the vibrations of this mantra 3. i found the locations of this mantra and concentrated on those location while chanting this Mahamantra. 4. experienced chanting in adverse situation , there is no problem . there are no side effects of this mantra. any time any place in any situation 5. while chanting this mantra i gained a lot of knowledge also 6. Bhavas are created 7. Bhakti is created 8 LOVE IS CREATED 9. Meaning of the mantra was changing time to time as i am progressing in Sadhana at present i understand in the following way HARE MEANS SHAKTI the word Hare associated with Ram is SHAKTI SITA THIS SHAKTI IS THE SHAKTI OF AATAM TATVA the word Hare associated with Krishan is SHAKTI RADHA RADHA IS THE SHAKTI OF SHIVA TATVA Since Kaliyug is the age in which a person do not have too much time for Sadhana , Hence in this mantra Both are combined together so that one should not deviate from spiritualism at least trial has been done By Lord Chatanya Mahaprabhu himself THIS MEANING CAME TO MY KNWOLEDGE FROM THIS FORUM ITSELF , THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE WRITTEN ON TANTRA HARE RAM , HARE RAM ,RAM RAM ,HARE HARE , HARE KRISHAN , HARE KRISHAN ,KRISHAN KRISHAN ,HARE HARE
Guest guest
OM NAMO NARAYANAYA Sanskrit the classical language of Gods is special The word KARI means a number of things. A horse,an elephant, a lion etc. Similarly HARI means Vishnu, Shiva, etc. Hare means Oh ! Hari . If it also means surrender then our surrender to Ram and Krishna (both incarnations of Lord Vishnu) Swmi Prabhupada was an authority both in Hindu scriptures and Sanskrit language. " kalou smaranaan mukthihi " = In Kaliyuga chanting Sri Hari`s names can give us Moksha During Kaliyug IE the present days most of us can not perform Yagjna Yaga and Vratha s as was done my sages in previous Yugas . A short cut is chanting the holy names of the Lord. This type of chanting can be done using a Oscimum beads (Tulasi mala with 108 beads) or without it. It can be done during any time of the day or night, at home at office , while traveling or in any way. Not even a special dress or any special effects like perfume sticks camphor are needed. During modern times people are materialistic and worship wealth more than anything else. Our teacher (Guru) taught that if one does chanting in mind without moving any part of the body without beads , it is not even necessary to bathe. Pure devotion and mind are the only requirements Senior sadhaks will be able to throw more light on this Thank you sirs/madams yours ijswamy ~SWAMY http://gjnanaswarup.spaces.live.com/blog/ --- On Wed, 9/10/08, satishvijayan <no_reply > wrote: satishvijayan <no_reply > Question-38 - A SIMPLE QUESTION Wednesday, September 10, 2008, 10:04 AM Could someone comment on the significance of the following: Hare Ram, Hare Ram, Ram Ram, Hare Hare Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare.
