Did Sanjaya, in fact see the Mahabharata war from afar ?

Question to Sri Osho:

 

Bhagavan ! Did Sanjaya , in fact, saw the happenings in the Kurukshetra

war ? Did he have that tele visionic power and tele listening power ?

 

Mahatma Osho:

 

It is an oft repeated question about Sanjaya. This is natural. How can

Sanjaya see the happenings in the battle field from a distance and

explain it to the blind king Dhrutarashtra ? To understand this, we must

learn first that the physical eyes alone are not our only faculty of

'seeing' , as explained by our Yoga Shastra. We do have eyes that

transcend time and place. Only those ignorant of this doubt Sanjaya's

tele visionic powers.

 

This power is not very great. It is in fact quite simple and

ordinary.Any person can achieve such powers by effort. In some people,

these powers have broken out under some extraordinary circumstances.

 

Due to unfortunate circumstances, we have come to doubt our own ancient

books.

 

There is a person in America called Ted Serio . (spelt correct ?). He

has an unusual ability to look at things from places as far as thousands

of miles away. If you ask him what is happening in an Ahmedabad football

ground, he will close his eyes for a few minutes, and will start

narrating the happenings. Not only that, his eyes will start reflecting

the real happenings in real life form. His eyes have been photographed

with the tele image many a time.

 

This man is not a yogi. He was an ordinary man. And, so was Sanjaya!

 

In Scandinavia, a person was knoocked unconscious in a road accident.

When he regained consciousness, he started hearing some music and noises

in his ears. He tried to banish them but they were really composed

music. He feared whether he had gone mad. But later someone found out

that what he was hearing were the sounds emanating out of a radio

station nearby. Similarly another woman in England started seeing stars

in daytime itself. Both these people needed surgery to correct these

unusualities.

 

But the sad fact remains that these special powers turn man into evil.

This is the reason why our Rishis maintained that Siddhis are a

distraction from the pursuit of truth. America and USSR are now doing

research on how to equip man with such powers in an orderly

psychologically acceptable way. This has been on after the moon mission.

They want to communicate with the man in space even if all the

communication equipment failed.

 

The day is not far off when Sanjayas are made in America. Sadly not in

skeptic India.
