Guest guest
Re: Great Time for Pitri Tarpana Dear friends, Namaskar to all! The real Pitrapaksha/Shradha-paksha ended actually on August 30, 2008, which was the actual Pitra-Amavasya! The real Sharadiya Navratras started on August 31, 2008 and ended on September 9, 2008. Dipavali, the festival of lights, is actually on Sunday, September 28, 2008, when all the Hindus will be " celebrating (sic!) " Pitramavasya! We have actually lost our cultural moorings just becasue of the fraud known as " Vedic astrology " according to which Uttarayana is not the shortest day of the year (December 21/22) but some other day--- January 15---as that is the date " advocated " by " almighty " N. C. Lahiri and Lahiriwalas. All our festivals and muhurtas have become topsy turvy because of " Vedic astrology " and " Vedic astrologers " . This will be clear from a list of correct dates of festivals being uploaded in the files section under the heading " 08-09.pdf " . For any further clarifications, pl. join HinduCalendar Do wake up to this fraud that is being played on the entire Hindu community! With regards, Avtar Krishen Kaul , " Narasimha P.V.R. Rao " <pvr wrote: > > Dear Utpal, > > Yes, that should be fine. > > Best regards, > Narasimha > > Do a Short Homam Yourself: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/homam > Do Pitri Tarpanas Yourself: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/tarpana > Spirituality: > Free Jyotish lessons (MP3): http://vedicastro.home.comcast.net > Free Jyotish software (Windows): http://www.VedicAstrologer.org > Sri Jagannath Centre (SJC) website: http://www.SriJagannath.org > > > - > " utpal pathak " <vedic_pathak > > Sunday, September 21, 2008 8:04 PM > Re: Great Time for Pitri Tarpana > > > > Narsimha Garu, > > > > Namaste! > > > > - can one perform this in somebody else's home if one is away from > > one's own home?
