Some queries on meanings of words in homa manual

Namaste Narasimhaji and others

 

 

There are a few words in the homa manual which I cannot understand.

Kindly tell me the meanings of the folowing:

 

1)sambhütaà

 

2) çaktihastaà

 

3) sämagänäà kåpäkaräya

 

4) våñöeù kartre

 

5) asmädagneù

 

6) asmänmürteçca

 

These are from the Kuja homa manual.

Namaste,

 

Sambhoota = born from (dharaNI garbha sambhoota = born from the womb of

Mother Earth)

Saktihasta = one who bears Sakti (a weapon) in his hand

Saamagaanaam kripaakaraaya = to one who is kind and compassionate to those

who chant Veda

asmaadagneh = from this fire

asmaanmurtescha = and from this idol

vrishteh kartre = to the one who causes heavy rains
