Guest guest
Dear Narasimha ji, Namaskar, I just saw the video of the sri Mahaganapati homam on your website! Please accept my sincere thanks! With gods grace I performed my first homam, the whole experience was liking riding the bike first time, few moments of peace but mostly struggling. Unfortunately, I was not able to make use of your video. I will study and try to learn from my mistakes and your video. I would like to understand the reasoning behind mudras you've performed. Is it possible for you to provide video of mudras (closeup, side and front angle)? Also I noticed, you have placed the purnahuti to your brahm-randrha before sacrificing it in fire. What is the reasoning behind it? is it like requesting karmas to permeate into the coconut to be burned? Again thanks very much for your service to the community!!! Guest guest
Dear Shri Kshroum, >Is it possible for you to provide video of mudras >(closeup, side and front angle)? What >is the reasoning behind it? is it like requesting karmas to permeate >into the coconut to be burned? Narasimha has mentioned in the manual thus: [ The full (or half) coconut used in the poornaahuti is a symbol of one's head, i.e. ego ( " I-ness " ), which is to be sacrificed (surrendered) to Mahaganapathi. Without that inner sense of surrender, an elaborate poornaahuti ritual with pristine materials has no meaning. ] I think that is why he keeps Poornahuti over his head which symbolises that one is offering one's HEAD (Ego, Brain etc...) in the Homam to the invoked lord. i do the same way. its possible that my understanding in this case may be not entirely correct.
