Guest guest Posted January 28, 2008 Report Share Posted January 28, 2008 Dear sai, The general practice is to do the anushtana of moola mantra of the particular diety and do the respective gayatri 1/10 th times of the number of moola mantra. Taking up the gayatris independently is generally not prescribed. However, as a part of Mantra Pushpa certain gayatris can be chanted which is not considered as the anushtana and does not involve any dosha.
