A Question about sundarar's verse (was thirumuRai series)

Dear Ravi,

 

Thank you so much for the explanation, it is somewhat clearer now.

 

One thing that is still not clear is the " annE " , I am not sure how it

fits in. Could you please clarify .. I went through the set

but my understanding of tamizh is close to zero (even modern usage,

so what to say of something like thirumuRai :-)

When Sundarar was about to get married, Lord comes in the guise of an

annE is taken here as annaiyE - I think it is a poetic license to match

manne, ponne, minnar (first words in each line). annai mean mother.

Lord is both mother and father.
