diksha is a wholistic approach of to upasana that involves the

initiation.

The upasaka who has undergone purnabhisheka that involves initiation of

shad-amnayas is qualified to chant any mantra even though he is not

initiated by his guru. Having undergone purnabhisheka alongwith

anandanatha diksha nama, he can initiate another person into the mantra

anushtana. But prior to that, the guru should perform the purascharana

of the mantras properly.

Purnaabishekam alone is not sufficient, The Guru must confer on the sishya

" Sarva Mantra Adhikaro Bhaveth " and also give him the Peeta Athikaram. This is

what we in Siddhamalli Parampara follow.

Blessings to all.

Friends:

I have also heard that just having pUrNAbhishekam does not automatically confer

the right to initiate another person, unless the Guru actually gives permission

to do so.

What is the position of all of the mandalIs on this ?

Thanks.

Dear sangaranarayanan,

Purnabhishekam is sufficient but one's guru has to give the

permission. But the disciple having undergone purnabhisheka has no

right to initiate till his gurunatha is alive.

There may be higher dikshas after purnabhisheka but that is the

difference in guru sampradayas. Because, to GET INITIATED IN

SHODASHI, GURU TRAYA, MAHAPADUKA FROM SAT-SAMPRADAYA AND SAT-GURU

ITSELF IS A LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT WHICH ENTIRELY DEPENDS ON OUR GOOD

DEEDS IN OUR PREVIOUS LIVES AND AMBAAL'S GRACE. WHAT TO SPEAK OF

HIGHER DIKSHAS AFTER PURNABHISHEKA.

Dear SriRam,

                              " But the disciple

having undergone purnabhisheka has no

right to initiate till his gurunatha is alive "

The above statement may not holds good and there is nothing like this any where

written and this concept is totally wrong. I have seen so mayn people which have

done like this.

Kindly check.

Though there is no sastra pramana to this, this is the humility one

shows towards one's gurunatha. How can we take the responsibility of

gurutva in the presence of one's gurunatha. This holds good when the

guru and sishya are merged into one entity. Without proper

purascharana, tarpana, etc. one should not initiate. People are

initiating because they are unaware of the implications and

repurcussions of taking the responsibility of the gurutva.

Now, if one says after getting the purnadiksha, oneself and his

gurunatha have merged, they have to decide themselves how far they

gone in sadhana.

Dear Sriram,

Thanks. One should not forget the fact, if the sishya given the necessary

powers, initiates his sishya and performs poornabhishekam, then his guru reaches

the parameshti guru status even during his living life. Therefore it is wrong to

assume that one should not initiate any disciple during his gurunathas living

conditions.
