durgA and devI sUktA homa

I witnessed a durgA and devI sUkta homa today. I am told that similar

on the 6th and 9th day a shrI and saravatI sUkta will replace the

durgA sUkta. On the dashami the durgA kalpa will be performed

according to the bodhayana vidhi.

 

11 names of durgA are considered very auspicious in this regard and

used in mantra-s of the kalpa homa:

3 mahAkAlI

4 mahAyoginI

5 suvarNapuShpA

6 devasa~NkIrtI

7 mahAyaj~nI

8 mahAvaiShNavI

9 mahApR^ithivI

10 manogamI
