Navatrikona Rudra Yantra on the ceiling of Malleshwara Temple at Vijayawada

Dear devotees,

 

The satarudriya pata comprises of a famous rudra mantra called " Rudra

DashAksharI Mantra " and the mantra runs as " om namo bhagavate rudraya " . Entire

mahanyasa runs with this Rudra Mantra.

 

There is a parampara in Andhra desa where mahanyasa purvaka rudrabhisheka is

done to a wonderful yantra called " Nava trikonAtmaka Rudra Yantra " which is

envisioned with the mula mantra " om namo bhagavate rudraya " . The design of this

yantra is : pranava or om in the middle of a padma with 9 triangles around it.

Along this 9 triangles are placed the bijas na, mo, bha, ga, va, te, ru, dra, ya

respectively.

 

This yantra has been carved on the ceiling above the idol of Nandishwara (opp.

to the siva linga) in the temple premises of Lord Malleshwara of Durga

Malleshwara Devasthana at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Mother sports at Kanaka

Durga and Siva sports as Malleshwara here.

 

The rasikas who can appreciate the temple architechture, civil engineering

beauty, temple art and sculpture can see this wonderful yantra carved in

Malleshwara temple complex.
