Guest guest
Dear aravind, `Kala' means the " an amsha / part of Parameshwara having the attributes " . It is the attribute terms of " name " and " form " or nAma and rUpa which is called " kaLA " . In other words " the organ or part with attributes of name and form " is called kaLA. So, niShkaLA is the " state of formless Absolute " . It is Absolute State of Existence as the Bindu Swarupa in Sriyantra. Now, as all are aware that the Creation is the Divine Sport of Sopadhika-ParamAtma which is Siva-SaktyAtmaka. Now, there is a principle in the Sopadhika ParamAtma which is the Basis of this entire creation starting from Akasa (Ether) to Prithvi (Earth) ie., 5 gross elements. This principle is called " Chit-kala " . This " Chit- kala " sports with Parasiva and creates this entire universe or Jagat. Now, this " Chit-Kala " with the help of 5 gross elements transforms itself as 5 kaLAs. So, as mentioned before, kaLA is attribute, the corresponding kaLAs for the 5 gross elements are: For Akasa, the kalA is sAntyatIta For Vayu, the kaLA is sAnta For Agni, the kaLA is Vidya For Jala, the kaLA is pratiShTa For Prithvi, the kaLA is Nivritti Every kalA is presided by the corresponding saktis which are the Attributes of Tripurasundari. They are: For Chitkala, the sakti is vimarsha Sakti For sAntyatIta kala, the sakti is vibhvi Sakti For sAnti kala, the sakti is Spanda Sakti For vidyA kala, the sakti is bhAsvati Sakti For PratiShTa kala, the sakti is hlAda sakti For Nivritti kala, the sakti is dhumAvati sakti So, these 6 kalas alongwith the corresponding Saktis are the Cause (kAraNa) of Evolution in the form of Jagat which is Effect or kArya. So, kAryAtmaka Jagat is the kaLA-swarupa ie., nAma – rupAtmaka. Since, Tripurasundari is the principle of kArya which is kaLAtmaka, she is " NiShkaLA " or the PRINCIPLE OF FORMLESS ABSOLUTE " . She is beyond these 6 kaLAs which are the cause of Creation. Guest guest
Dear aravind, There is a typing error in the last para ie., the Tripurasundari is beyond the the principle of " kArya " or " Effect " . <<Since, Tripurasundari is the principle beyond the " kArya " and kAryA is is kaLAtmaka, she is " NiShkaLA " or the PRINCIPLE OF FORMLESS ABSOLUTE " . She is beyond these 6 kaLAs which are the cause of Creation regs, sriram , " sriram " <sriram_sapthasathi wrote: > > Dear aravind, > > `Kala' means the " an amsha / part of Parameshwara having the > attributes " . Guest guest
Dear aravind, The opposite of " Nishkala " is " sakala " . This two words reminds me of famous Dikshitar kriti, the lyric which runs as " sakala nishkala swarupe..... " . So, Nishkala is Formless Absolute Brahman and Sakala is the Brahman with form. regs, sriram , aravindan viswanathan <the_thornbird_16 wrote: > > respected members of this esteemed forum > > i would like to know the meaning of the word'nishkala' does it mean one without any blemishes? and what is the opposite of niskala? > pardon my ignorance.. i'm just starting my spiritula journey ... > > > > > Add more friends to your messenger and enjoy! Guest guest
Nishkala is without the divine latent energy in motion (siva) and sakala is potent energy (sakthi) and when form comes it is a concept whereas formless one is only energy.
