Maha Swamy's CAUTION on Ambaal Worship

During the last few days, several views were expressed by the devotees on the

ways to worship Her based on their individual perceptions. But are  these Valid

and are we capable of making own judgments ?

 

For the benefit of devotees, I am reproducing what the Prathyaksha Kaamakshi –

MAHA SWAMY, has talked on the subject, while dealing with Soundarya Lahary.

The first 41 stanzas of Soundarya Lahary constitute the Mantra sastras. only a

few can understand them and follow them in practice since very stringent rules

are called for in observance.

 

This part contains Mantra Yoga and Kundalini Yoga. Even the slightest error in

observance of these yogas can have adverse effect on the practitioner.

 

One can’t be careless in worshipping the Mother. She sports in many ways.

Though she has laid down harsh rules for worship involving severe disciplines,

She has also prescribed easy ways of sadhana.

 

Each way has to be practiced strictly in the manner prescribed.. Worshipping in

temples, chanting stotras, hymns, singing musical compositions, conducting

 Bhajans, listening to stories and puranas are easy way of worshipping Ambaal.

 

If a devotee thinks that these are not enough and wants to take up other ways of

worship like JAPA YOGA,SRICHAKRA PUJA believing that he can practice them in any

manner he likes without the required discipline, AMBAAL WOULD CONSIDER IT SHEER

WANTONNESS on his part. and the consequences have to be faced.

 

The difficult ways of sadhana in the worship of Ambaal must be left to very few

who are capable of practicing this.

 

Practioners of manthra or Kunadlini yoga MUST NOT LOOK DOWN UPON those who read

or sing hymns – “ Like us do they follow a severe discipline or observe

rules of worship ? They should not speak thus of people singing hymns,people of

simple faith and devotion.

 

As far those who keep singing hymns also should not ask questions in the manner

of practioners of Mantra yoga or Kundalini Yoga. – “ Like us they Can’t

see the World with LOVE, Chanting always O MOTHER.. – What is this DRAB and

ARID path they follow on Mantra and Tantra.

 

These paths are different paths of worship foe people with different attitudes.

DECREE. Everything is equal and not one is is superior over the other. With this

EXACTLY!! Each one may worship according to their inclination, as directed by

one's Guru. he need not criticise other paths. He can read and understand

others' practices as matters of curiosity WITHOUT COMMENT. This ekagrata will

bring saaroopya, sameepya and sayoojya.
