Guest guest
Dear Gopal Garu, Im sorry to hear this news. " SHUCHIRVAAPI ASHUCHIRVAAPI KAALAM SANDHYAM SAMAACHARETH!! " Whether in purity or in impurity one should not forget to do sandhyA worship. Please refer to my older postings(especially message number 4075)where everything has been clearly explained. sandhyAvandana is a nithykarmA and is souchA or asouchA does not affect its doing or non-doing.We do not stop to brush our teeth or take bath because of asouchA, do we?{(unless maybe it is the loss of someone very very dear;even here, life goes on after sometime(smashAnavAirAgyA)} Mourning is for the mind;impurity is for the body The soul is eternally pure. And a nithyakarmA like sandhyAvandana is tied to the soul, for its unfolding. Recently my beloved maternal uncle expired(he was a noble soul) and yet I did an extra round of gayathrI and panchadasi for his sake. After 10 days,I had a vision early morning in which I saw him(his AthmA with the subtle koshA) climb down the steps of his house and transmigrate to my room and thank me profusely and lovingly for the mantra recitation for his sake.He blessed me too.I really doubt whether even his son(who does not do even sandhyavandana on ordinary days) was blessed with such a vision When a nithya ritual is neglected impurity shrouds the soul too and the ember of divinity tended carefully gets dulled. During this mourning-time too one can do fully the sandhyAvandana and there is nothing in the sruthis(vedas) which forbid(although smurhtis differ)anyone to do sandhyAvandanA during asouchA period. However, traditionally one does during mruthAsouchA argyam, 3 Pranayamas and 12 Gayathri and end with Gayathri upasthanam. (Some do till tarpanA and 28 gayathrI repetitions) The above exception is because due to immense grief if the person is not able to do nithyakarmA,then an abrdiged form is given. However, I would say if sandhyAvandana is fully done, then the gods and pithrudevathAs bless you and your bAbAi and thus you can ensure,if you really care for his soul,a safe passage(for his soul) into higher divine realms by praying gayatrI mAthA loving and earnestly for the same.Isn't your bAbAi befitting this small labor(labour) of love? With this I rest this thread.I leave it to you to decide. My deepest condolences and prayers during this period of grief are with you. AthmasanhithA de'vi! Guest guest
Don't apply bhasma mixed with water. Apply dry bhasma on your forehead. Perform achamana, sankalpa normally as you do. Do the marjana, arghya pradana and gayatri tarpana. Rest of the rituals are prohibited. regs, sriram , Gopala Krishnan <gopalt_qa wrote: > > Hello, > > One of my babai(chittappa) passed away today and we r in mourning period following 10 days maila(asoucham or taint). Guest guest
Namaste There are reservations for the word PROHIBITED. Because only the Kriya Vidhana (Doing it in the Normal Method ) for the rest of the ritual's is Restricted and is supposed to be done in Maanasika Vidhana (Doing the parayana of Dhyanam and Mantra Japa in our mind itself) . Here the rule of not using the tongue for chanting the Mantra's is supposed to be strictly followed. Namaste Diwakar , " babi " <sriram_sapthasathi wrote: > > Don't apply bhasma mixed with water.
