Guest guest
Dear Friends and like minded persons, I do not know whether I should write a letter of this nature or stepping away the boundaries of spiritual sciences – the line which I had chosen for all practical purposes. But when I see certain mails and other developments claiming innocent lives of many, I desired to play a role of finding the exact fault and the remedial possible measures thereof. The Indians are known world wide as soft spoken, work oriented and religious minded people, some times people in the other parts of the world though jealous to accept the origin of civilization and other advancement made by the ancient people of Indian origin in different fields. Well, keeping this aside, it is an admitted fact that we are lacking in commitment and code of discipline and that is the reason why the country had gone to the hands of others, several times in the past. The unfortunate caste system, linguistic problems associated with regional, religious, environmental differences, yet, played a major role in globally keeping our position quite low. We are rich agriculturally; we have excellent man power resources, mineral resources, water resources and what not. I shed tears standing in front of the Holy River Brahmaputra when the entire hill fresh water straight passes to join Bay of Bengal which otherwise would have been diverted to the deficient areas to make the household rich. When I look at the pathetic house wife of a rural area, as detailed by me in different columns of News Papers since past 30 years, whose major portion of day time is just wasted in carrying water from different wells for household purposes. Her energy would have been otherwise useful for income generation activity. I stayed with such rural folk for years to do my best in an un-electrified village along with my family giving up my children education and my career prospective etc., though it was not needed for me to do so. The un-electrified villages of our country do speak as to how much we could to ourselves in all these years. The progressive and promoted illiteracy in these villages, perhaps help a few politically but then, as whose cost? I have many unsolved questions of the similar nature. “The Reforms I expect in India – The Next Generation” – is the book form which I could bring in till now with a hope that something should really happen to see my Country in new peaks when someone who could really take care of the points mentioned there in. I found in my life journey, that it is next to impossible to change the Political set up as it is found to be beyond repair. The second one which we look at is the Administrative Set up, and this is unfortunately in the hands of political powers. The ONLY AND ONLY SURVIVING HOPE is the JUDICIARY. If this grievance redressal machinery gears up, the entire system can be brought back to line. Justice delayed is justice denied – I do not know why cases are piling up keeping justice quite away from the sufferer. Why punishments are not given to the guilty on time and why scandals take years for probing and judgment, why a time frame is not put to cases so that every one alerted. When grievance redressal is not available to a common man, he has no option than to jump to other areas like approaching Rowdy Sheeters and political bosses etc. JUDICIARY is the only and only surviving hope for all us, as the matter stands which should promise a time frame work action. If this system is updated, soon we are sure to keep our eye brows and shoulder up. I shed tears many a times, particularly when I visited GOLU BHAGAVAN near Almora Ranges of Himalayas where hundreds and thousands of bells are hanged by people of different states in the country with their petitions to the Lord requesting for speedy justice and disposal of their legitimate claims. At this stage, when the country has a code and law, it is really a matter worthy of keeping our heads low at least once, as to why people go to Lord when we have courts and legal system. Every case is not a political case, forgetting the political cases where a progress is difficult, at least other cases can well be settled on time GIVING AN ASSURANCE TO THE PEOPLE OF THE COUNTRY THAT LEGAL course of action – speedy action, is at the door steps of the people. This is the least that can be expected, I believe. I may be wrong or I might not have right conceptual skill, but then, I moved with rural and utmost rural people, and I understand that this is what they want. It is not my intention to pass any remark against any body, but then the fact is this, whether accepted or otherwise. Nothing is impossible for a judiciary and when you look at the system adopted in countries like America etc we really understand how the system can produce wonders. The Consumer Awareness Programs etc are worth mentioning and these are free from Politics and Administration. We can surely do some wonders before OUR GENERATION lay down and rest, and perhaps this is the only one available way. My intention is not to belittle the system; my clear intention is that the system can do wonders, if it really wishes to do. And that is the only one surviving hope of all of us. JAI HIND. Guest guest
Dear Dr Sesha, It is heartening to note the deep concern expressed by you. According to Indian Philosophy every one reaps the fruits of his own karma. We (others) can only try to mitigate the sorrow or sufering. Your rosy picture about the legal system in India is far from reality. A person may lose all his wealth before getting a square foot of land to which he is the legal heir. God is great and & from India you can make local calls to God !! He will save us.
