Some suggestions to US Brahmins Group

My dear friends and like minded persons

 

US BRAHMINS

 

I am seeing that many intellectuals, learned, knowledgeable persons sending

their messages to the US Brahmins group. Sharing different subjects with each

of them is really wonderful and thought provoking. It is really a fortune and a

privilege to join such core group and fine cream of the knowledge. The group

messages are timely and quickly monitored and the postings are absolutely

accurate.

 

I believe the moderator is well experienced and devoted to the cause. I also

learn from the messages that well experienced and mature minds are involving to

send the messages. Anything can be purchased from the market, but surely not an

expertise and experience. An aged / Senior Citizen is an asset to the

Society/Community/Country, for the simple reason, their experience and expertise

is based on length of time. There fore respecting AN AGED AND A SENIOR IS

NOTHING BUT RESPECTING THE EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE. Such assets can not be

produced OVER NIGHT.

 

As every coin has two sides, the other side of the coin is now touched by me and

my subject may or may not be palatable to the group. I believe such groups can

do some more involving themselves more deeply into the causes, like creating a

forum for marriages; designing a panchang that suits US as there is utter

confusion for following Indian calendar in US; making out panels from young

children with different talents in different fields; maintaining a list of new

entrants into USA either for study purpose or otherwise to keep a supportive

look on them; making educative information available for children education

purposes; granting of aid for deserving students; creating shelters for the

housewives who are ill treated in their family matters(just as done by some

Gujarat elders in CA); bringing a uniform code for performing rituals in all

temples beyond the Shaivaite and aishnavaite factions and so on. In short,

every one in every house hold should be covered by some way or the other so that

the Forum can keep itself active and remain purposeful. To say, the

aforementioned list is not exhaustive, any new area can be identified and

adopted by the Forum so that IT REMAINS ATTACHED SOCIALLY TOO. Most of the

areas mentioned are not Fund based, therefore, it will be easy for those who are

interested in specific areas, in whichever area they reside.

 

The work can be divided state wide as US is a vast country and an individual

coverage from one corner to the other is quite difficult.

 

Beyond all, efforts should be put into practice to upkeep Unity among all with a

positive look at the other castes too. Most unfortunately, amongst Brahmins, it

is an admitted fact, there are innumerable factions like sects/sub-sects

/shaivaites/ madhwaas /vaishnavaites/ Lingayats etc………….the list is never ended

mostly. Efforts may be put up to reduce regional/state/group differences,

though it is a Herculean task.

 

I do not know whether I am competent to mention my opinion in this regard,

honestly I believe that this is the time that something real, something

absolutely real can be done by ALL OF US COLLECTIVELY to fill up the ancient/age

old gaps.

 

Please think what can be done in this regard.
