My dear friends and like minded persons

DEVI NAVARATHRI – WORSHIP OF SRI YANTRA

In a few days Goddess Navarathris are starting. I prefer suggesting you all to

perform Sri Chakra Archana or at least worship Sri Yantra, both for material and

spiritual purposes. Many of you may have doubts as to how to perform Pooja for

the Sri Yantra and some of you may also fear that Sri Yantra worship should ONLY

and Only be done as per some procedure etc. My request to you all is only that

not to have any inferences of your own on this subject but start worshiping the

Sri Yantra without any fear.

It is the concept that we adopt, that makes us to fear or accept the ritual.

Sometimes I saw people fearing to have darshan of Mahaakaali or Chamundi or

Vaaraahi or whatever it is, when the deity wears a garland of skulls and the

tongue out. I do not fear to enter such temples for the simple reason I only

see Goddess mother and I am unconcerned about her fearful appearance. What ever

she wears or in what ever form she stays, the fact is that she is MOTHER-THE

MOTHER GODDESS. Some of you might have your aged ailing mother who should be

looked after for all needs in a bed ridden condition. When we develop hatred

ness or fear that indicates the distance we feel of our beloved mother and the

concept with which we approach her. We have to accept her in whatever condition

she is, as our MOTHER – as our beloved mother, only then, it becomes possible to

establish a MOTHER-CHILD relationship. As long as this relationship is

maintained, the MOTHER looks at us only as her BELOVED CHILD. My intention of

mentioning all this is to take you all close and very close to the Mother

Goddess and not otherwise.

Secondly, according to Sanatana sampradaya, one can do shodasopachara (16)

poojaas or the least panchopachara poojas(5). To make it simple, I request you

to abhishek Sri Yantra with a little water mixed up with a drop or two of Rose

Water, Honey, any other juice. Then, please offer sandal – chandan; flower;

dhoop; deep and a dry fruit and a little milk as Nivedan. Initially this is

sufficient and when once we build up stronger and stronger relationship and

attachment, we can gradually improve the methods of pooja or worship depending

again, on availability of time.

For those, who could pay a little more attention and time, the ten days worship

may be interlinked with daily offerings in the following manner. According to

the practice in ancient Indian Sciences, worshiping of Sri Yantra during

Navarathris is expected to keep us healthy and wealthy.

First day – Paadyami- Kat Pongal(rice plus pepper etc); second day – Vidiya –

Turmeric Rice; third day – tritiya- coconut rice; fourth day – chaturdhi- Vada

using ginger root (without a hole in centre); fifth day – panchami – curd rice;

sixth day – shashti – Kesari bath(sweet); seventh day – saptami – vegetable rice

(Sakaanna); eighth day – astami – Sweet milk rice(Chakkera Pongali); ninth day –

Navami – Milk rice( Payasaannam); tenth day –dasami – chitraannam and

laddu(sweet); besides daily offering of little rice and Milk rice to the

possible extent.

I also advice all my friends to invariably establish a sun stone tortoise or

black star tortoise for this year as the forty days long archana for both the

sriyantra and tortoise is expected to give us good life. The continuity of

worship may be done ten days after Diwali. This worship of Sriyantra and

Tortoise helps particularly this year and those who can do, please do the same

and take the blessings of Goddess for overall development.

Please do not miss the opportunity particularly this year and those who have

belief may please follow the aforementioned procedure.

May Goddess grant you all that you need and wish during the forthcoming Dasara.

WISH YOU ALL HAPPY DASARA

Yours affly HARA HARA MAHADEVA
