Guest guest
I also would like to share my vision of Kali. It was in very late 2004, and I had that day read an article in Vogue Magazine on the AIDS situation in India. It also included the story of a little 4-year-old Indian boy, Dilli Babu, whose father brought home AIDS to his family, and they were now all dead, and poor little Dilli was left an orphan, whose relatives did not want him because of his sickness, and who did not even bother to claim his body when he died. At the time the story was written, poor little abandoned Dilli was nearly dead; the picture of him in the article just tore my heart. I went to my meditation early that evening because I was just CHURNING with rage and sorrow at the horrible injustice this innocent child had suffered at the hands of selfish adults! During the meditation I stared hard at my Kali Yantra, and I seemed to leave my body and be lifted up high into space, looking down at the world. I was looking down at India far below me, and as I watched, Dakshineswar Kali rose up from India, She rose up almost eye-to-eye with me, and while She looked into my eyes, She raised her mighty blade and brought it down HARD, somewhere between India and the peninsula of Southeast Asia. It was very powerful and intense, I could hardly breathe; I felt like I was both She, and watching Her at the same time, and I thought I would never make it back to my body, but by Mother's grace, I returned safely, though it took me a while to be able to stand afterwards. The next day I went online, and heard for the first time about the great 2004 earthquake that had taken place the day before; the earth had 'rung like a bell " , and thousands had been wiped out by the force of the tsunami that earthquake had generated. When I checked the exact time the earthquake occurred, IT HAD TAKEN PLACE RIGHT AT THE TIME I HAD MY VISION OF KALI-MA SMITING THE EARTH, AND THE PLACE WHERE I SAW HER BLADE STRIKE WAS THE PLACE WHERE THE EARTHQUAKE ORIGINATED!
