Both are not correct. When you want to do – perform – your duties – to make others happy – it is fruitless effort. You cannot make others happy for ever. With your effort you can give momentary happiness. Your deeds should be so that it makes you happy and you are not in anybody's or your own witness box. When we try hard to make others happy in bargain we are making them dependent on our effort. They subconsciously start DEMANDING. This demanding depletes your energy Giving should be your own joy. It should not be under any obligation, compulsion designing forcing calculating or arranging. You just give give & give. Truthful giving, whether it satisfies others or not, it should not be your problem. Do not give to satisfy others or for expecting any results. THIS IS DETACHMENT.
