Guest guest
Respected Brahmins in India, outside India - Particularly in USA I convey my regards and respects to all the learned intellectuals of the Community. Lord permitted me to perform Shri Aswamedhayaagam and thus to become the first ever Brahmin Aswamedhayaaji, but I am a very small man and for ever remain to be in the state of learning as a student. Please be guiding me, if my approach is incorrect and my agony and anxiety has no meaning. I have been seeing mails relating to WBO/WBF/WBC etc and somehow I dared to write this to all of you appealing to you with folded hands to protect the Unity. Most of us are elders in age and in the sunset time of our lives, when there remained nothing either to capture powers or ascending to positions; no further taste excepting surrendering to the Almighty and rendering our best to the Community/Society particularly to the less fortunate. The Brahmin organizations are simply voluntary organizations and there is nothing to gain such as a political power or financial supremacy. A Brahmin – to my little brain – is considered as a FRIEND, GUIDE AND PHILOSOPHER. Brahmin – Pundit is expected to know the Dharma Sastra and guide the world as a leader. “Brahmanosya Mukha Maaseet….” The Holy Purusha Sooktam says that one who is capable of utilizing the capacities of brain, thus remaining as a guiding force – the one who is a PURA –HITA (THE ONE WHO LOOKS AFTER THE WELFARE OF THE SOCIETY) is called as a Brahmin. The Hindu religion and religious rituals are in the hands of Brahmins for the past thousands of years and people trust us that we guide them properly. Thus it is our duty to retain our position as examples for the society. When this is the background, what can we do to the society if we start creating conflicts amongst ourselves? If the leaders are in a state of confusion and create a state of confusion, what a follower can do other than migrating to other religions where state of confusion is not existent to this degree. If only we are in a position to guide the public properly as per the expected lines of Vedic order of life, why people migrate and why do they loose trust on us? Are we not causing great harm with our in-fights – for no fruitful results? We are expected to remain as a fine model for the next generation and what is that we have contributed towards this? Are we factually examples of true PUROHITS or simply retained the status of PUNDITS for name sake? I am new to the area; I do not know what has happened and what is happening. My interest is only that – let us remain as ONE and let us show to the world that we can lead and we remain capable of leading the society with our brain strength. Pretty matters can be solved within ourselves. Why should we give opportunity for some one to laugh at us? A few elders can sit on 24th or 25th and resolve the matters most conveniently. If cream of the Society – the most valued persons residing in USA is not setting an example, can we ever dream of doing something to arrest the inside and outside threats in India for the Community/Society? I once again appeal to you all to remain united and let there not be a number of organizations to exhibit individual strengths, let there be only one and only ORGANISATION for all of us. There are many challenges in front of us. Most of our children are not getting married timely – let us do something towards this; most of the younger generation question us about the sanctity of wearing a Yagnopaveet – let us answer them and educate them the values properly; most of us do not practice Sandhya Vandan – let us do it and let us teach ourselves about it; most of us are not following Vedic rituals- let us know the value of them and let us follow; most of us are not offering oblations to the departed souls – let us know the simplest ways of doing this; most of us do not prefer performing Havan- let us start practicing the simplest ways first; most of us are unaware of the sacred material to be used in the havan which actually produce wonderful results – let us explain ourselves what it is; most of us have forgotten the mantra saastra in the context of modernization – let us assure ourselves that there is a force beyond us / behind us that makes us run( mananaat trayate iti mantra); most of us are allowing children and the next generation to disrespect the elders – let us teach them that we are the guiding force and we are the future builders for them; and the number in this fashion is unlimited. It is time for us to do and act firmly – before it is too late. Let us build up ourselves, our next generation, the society, the future and ALL on constructive lines. Who ever is the secretary or president of our organization is not that big matter worth wasting of time on discussion or on confrontation. What is that we gain due to our positions in the organization? A true worker does not need a post or a position. Let us work for ourselves. Let us all meet together with smiling faces and let us discuss the problems across the tables and sort all issues at once. There is nothing impossible for a human being – my GURUJI told me this, years ago. Nothing is impossible for us and let us strives to remain united forever. We can guide our future, our next generations, our society, and all appropriately, and that is the only task in front of us. We are not going to live as long as we already lived – the time in front of us too short, let us do something constructive, concrete and permanent. Please consider this SMALL Student’s appeal.
