Guest guest
My dear Brahma Swaroops IMPORTANT NOTE: I TRIED TO SEND THE PHOTGRAPHS BUT THE MAIL BOUNCED BACK DUE TO LOAD OF THE MAIL. THEREFORE PHOTOS ARE NOT SENT WHICH MAY PLEASE BE NOTED. I convey my regards to you all and I take the opportunity of conveying best wishes for Ugadi. I could not update the activities from time to time during the past three months after completion of the Mini Convention at Hyderabad in the month of December 2007 due to health and other constraints. During January initially we arranged a get together on Sankranti – Makara Sankraman Punya Kaal and encouraged ALL to offer Dasa Daanaas during the Sankraman time to take blessings from the departed souls. Lot of literature on the Specific system were distributed free of cost. Later the team of Brahman Leaders along with the Vice President of Orissa Unit visited Maharashtra – particularly focusing on Shirdi and surroundings. We met a good number of Brahman Leaders and performed Annadaana too while explaining them, the need to upkeep Brahmanic values. February month was a special month for WBO team as we celebrated Shivarathri on a grand scale at the temple- SHRI BRAHMA MAANASA SARVA SIDHI KSHETRAM – perhaps the only one temple in India whereat Lord Brahma and Goddess Saraswathi are placed together in the temple. Shiva Kalyan took place in the premises of the temple when a new chariot was specially made for the occasion along with the Pancha Loha Idols of the Lords. Lord Shiva’s pancha Loha Idol was exclusively designed in such a manner as it represents the unusual MANGALNATHESWAR SWAMY – in other words, Mars in the form of Lord Shiva. We observe that in many Brahman families either the marriages of the children are delayed or not done in time for several reasons, particularly due to MANGAL DOSH. Astrologically MANGAL DOSH is a rare DOSH but unfortunately, basing on this belief, a good number of the brides and bridegrooms are attributed to the reason due to which their marriages are abnormally delayed. But then, the problem exists to some extent. We find Mangalnatheswar Swamy only in one place on the banks of Kshipra River in Ujjain under an unusual tree (which I could not see elsewhere in India so far). It is believed that performing of Archana/Abhishek/Havan to the deity is expected to solve the family related problems mostly and is believed to get one freed from excessive indebtedness. We have also observed that when Lord Mangalnatheswar is worshipped, the negative thinking in children disappeared, over indebtedness was solved. Thus, Lord Mangalnatheswar Swamy is helpful in overcoming family related, business related and health related problems mostly. For the benefit of the readers a photograph of Lord is attached to this. We are performing now a day Havan on daily basis to the Lord and we have satisfied devotees in SHRI BRAHMA MAANASA SARVA SIDHI KSHETRAM. Back to the activities of the WBO during the month of March, we have to highlight and focus on the Thread Ceremony – Upanayanam of Chiranjeevi Sridhar son of our Orissa WBO branch leader Shri G S Murthy along with that of his co-brother’s son Chiranjeevi Mohan. The Upanayanam program commenced on 24th and ended on 27th. These days Upanayanam is considered as a mere ritual and that this particular thread ceremony is taking place just a day before Marriage since Upanayanam is considered as a passport for the marriage. Frankly speaking, Upanayanam is a four day long utmost holy ritual in any Brahmans life. It is expected that the Vatu – Brahmachari gets familiarized with Gayathri Upasana Procedure besides understanding the procedure for Havan; understanding his Gothra and its relevant rishis etc. The sacred fire has to be continued uninterruptedly for four days till “Medhaa Jananam” – the last procedural aspect of Upanayanam. These days I observe that many Brahmacharis refuse to go for Mundan and also refuse to carry the Panch Sikhas. They also refuse to go for ear boring for many reasons particularly feeling shy to expose themselves to the otherworld as “Brahmans”. This is the unfortunate stage. While this type of atmosphere is prevailing, Shri Murthy and Shri Narasimham accepted the procedure for the four day long ceremony while the Brahmacharis carried the panch sikhaas besides going for ear boring. Photograph of the Brahmacharis during the thread ceremony is attached. The next point of utmost importance for the WBO is that all Vedic Students were invited to attend to a lecture program along with Acharyaas when the Program was arranged by Holy Mahant Narayangiri Maharaj – a great supporter of the Brahman Movement. The Lecture was delivered by me on those specific points as to why Brahmans should remain as “Pura Hitas” (well wishers of the society). The science behind each ritual is explained by me when the Acharyaas and the students attentively respected and followed the program with all interest. Shri Mahant Narayangiri Maharaj has an ambitious plan of setting up Vedic Schools with the support of active members of WBO in four parts of the country with a scientific background and education to the future generation of the Brahmans. Finally all of us visited the Holy Dhudheswarnath Shrine and worshipped the linga using the Mantras from Yajurveda. This took place on 13th March at Holy Dudheswarnath temple in Ghaziabad. Relevant Photographs are attached. On 15th of March, the team of WBO visited Holy Naimisharanyams and stayed in Lord Balaji Mandir Premises. A new blog is being created as http://holynaimisharanyam.blogspot.com where lot of information is created and posted. With regard to the activities of WBO, there were eleven Vedic Students (aged from 8 years to 14 years) hailing from different parts of the country. They possessed all eagerness to undergo Vedic courses and maintain the family tradition of Brahmans, but their economic conditions did not permit them to retain themselves only with studies. Therefore they got employed in unrelated works(which includes sweeping etc) in order to earn their bread and butter and undergo Vedic classes as and when their time permitted. The team of WBO offered them some clothes, food items and paid cash for their maintenance for some time. Our AANANDAASHRAMAM is now contemplating of providing them some support in order to enable them to continue with their traditional education. The photographs attached are self explanatory.
