Anniversaries and all that

My dear friends and like minded persons

 

I desire to mention about the " Anniversaries " and a small message too in this

letter.  I am sure that most of you know about the " names " of " Anniversaries " ,

however for general interest I am just mentioning them once again. 

First anniversary is called as " Paper " anniversary; the second one as " Cotton " ;

the third one " Leather " ; the fourth one " Fruit or Flower " ; the fifth one " Wood " ;

the sixth one as " Sugar or Iron " ; the seventh one as " Wool or Copper " ; the

eighth one as " Bronze or Pottery " ; the ninth one " Pottery or Willow " ; the ten

one as " Tin " ; the eleventh one as " Steel " ; the twelfth one as " Silk or Linen " ;

while the thirteenth one as " Lace " ; the fourteenth one as " Ivory " ; the fifteenth

one as " Crystal " ; the twentieth one as " China " ; the thirtieth one as " Pearl " ;

the thirty fifth one as " Coral " ; the fortieth one as " Ruby " ; the forty fifth

one as " Sapphire " ; the fiftieth one as " Golden " ; the fifty fifth one as

" Emerald " ; the sixtieth one as " Diamond " ; the seventieth one as " Platinum " and

once again the seventy fifth one as " Diamond " .   Finally the hundredth one as

" Centenary " and of course it is a matter of real pride to celebrate the

" Centenary " and it is really a

great thing if a couple celebrate their " Diamond " wedding anniversary. 

 

The family traditions were so rich in India that a " Golden Jubilee " or a

" Diamond Jubilee " was quite common in a family life of our generation and

earlier too.  Amidst all likes and dislikes, wife and husband used to live

together keeping themselves as a " model " for their peaceful co-existence for

such a length of time in the Holy Country - India. 

 

Today, lot of Divorcees which Indian History could not heard of, have entered

into the Holy Land of India inheriting Western Culture.  The Western Culture

knows as is seen today, only money, free sex, drink, murder and a ghost and some

how individuality in extreme, a don’t care situation  and  even the movies

speak only these.  The younger generation is over powered by these movies and

slowly giving up the spirit of coexistence, but allowing free sex to enter into

their lives. 

 

Any Prudent should be able to manage and learn to live and manage a family

life.  What is not available at one point, it is an illusion, to get

elsewhere.  In the context of the modern trend, the gap between animals and

human being is being narrowed in the sex storms.  Well, this is what is going

on, we feel  sad of on-going trend.

 

One small submission,

 

Lord granted ME AND MY WIFE PADMAVATHY SOMIDEVI ALL opportunities of approaching

our " Ruby " wedding anniversary in two years, when we

are celebrating our thirty eighth wedding anniversary today.
