Guest guest
Dear All, Dakshinachara is the path where one adopts rituals like Japa, Srichakra Navavarana Pooja etc., as per the rules laid down in Agamas, advocating the Varnashrama Dharmas elaborated in the Sruti and Smrti. Samayachara is totally internal, without involving any external actions. It involves the meditative contemplation of the Samatva between Shiva and Shakti, the Samatva between the Pindanda, Brahmanda, Srichakra, Guru, Sridevi and the self. It is a pure process of Atma Vichara, which is possible only by the highest of Sadhakas. The preparatory step to Samayachara is generally Dakshinachara. Purva Kaula uses Pratikas for Worship whereas Uttara Kaula advocates the use of literal Makaras. Like Dakshinachara, these are also external modes, but not confirming to the rules laid down by Sruti or Smrti. Of these, undoubtedly Samayachara is the highest and both Kaula / Dakshinachara aim to reach this state by different ways. Bhava shankara deshika me sharaNaM.
