Dear Shakthas,

Tripura Mahimna stotra is a compostion of the seer and Rishi Durvasa

who is said to be the brother of lord Dattareya and the son of Athri

and is said to be born of out of the anger of Lord Shiva.

Mantra Mahodhadhi gives a reference of the Panchadasi chanted by this

venerable sage which is a bit different.

He is said to possess tremendous 'varchas'(glow in his body) by his

arduous practice srichakra vidya and tapas.

The lesser know fact about him is that he was a Srividya adept to

the core. Infact there are two branches of Srividya:

1. Durvasa Vidya

2. Krodha Bhattarika vidya.

Such is the greatness of this grossly misunderstood sage and rishi

(misunderstood for his anger)

He has written one magnificient stava known as Lalithastava Ratna

also known as Arya Dwishati.

It is not known to many that the Navavarna puja manula(called

Chintamani Kalpam) used by aoens ancient Kanchi Kamakshi sannadhi

for Mahameru and Srichakra worship in the temple has been scriptured

by this roudra rishi!

I have added a file in the files section of the Tripura Mahimna

stotram of this Sage which shows his seamless devotion to Godess

Rajarajeshwari Devi.

It is a highly technical hym from the viewpoint of Tantra shastra as

it refers to various technicalities of Tantra and Srividya in

particular.

The file I have attached does not contain the mantra, chakra and puja

sanketas which should be learnt only from a srividya Adept.

Om Aryaambhaputroham!

Subodha
