Dear Mr Subodha,

 

Namaste! I really love your group on Maa Rajarajeshwari. She is a beautiful goddess. I am a devotee of Lord Murugan. I was wondering whether I can pray to Sri Rajarajeshwari too?

 

Secondly, a very dear friend of mine is undergoing torture in the hands of his in-laws & wife. He got married in India on May 21st 2004. But his wife has not joined him yet here inthe US. His in-laws are very crude, rude, brash and very selfish people. My friend is caught in quandry and is not sure what he needs to do in life. I see him very unhappy and sad. This 21st it will be one year anniversary to their marriage but still there is no positive improvement from the girl's side. What remedies do you suggest for my friend? Please help him. He is a very young guy caught in this very messy and unhappy situation. His family is very worried about his future.

I read with sadness your friend's problem.I too am very young (in my twenties)

and I know what your friend is facing.

 

Your friend can do a simple but faithful recitation of Lalitha sahsranama three

times per

day(morning ,afternoon and evening). This will solve the problem ina few weeks.

Iam sure. Some how convince him of the efficay of the Lalitha sahsranama(see my

posting regarding the efficay of Lalitha sahsranama)

 

Apart from this your friend can also contact SWAMI RAJAGOPALA of chennai to get

additional help and guidance.

Dear Sana,

 

You can definitely pray to Rajarjeshwari!

 

It is like telling moon is beautiful will the sun also be beautiful!

Moon gets its lustre from the sun! Murugan gets his skaandic lustre

from Godess Rajarajeshwari. Infact skanda had done intense sadhana

of the pancadaasi and other srividya mantras not just because She is

his mother but because She is Para devata. Infact there is a

SKANDEYA PANCADASI which has a few syllable variations than the

standard kamaraja pancadasi.

 

If any rishi claims he is a rishi without having done all the

srividya mantras he is just a halfbaked rishi.

 

Muruga is a great yogi and was given the charge of 'kundalini danda'

his vel by Rajarajeshwari. I wish to reveal no more than this. This

is all Her maya to differentiate between 'She' and 'He' between

Mother and son..ultimately during mahapralaya they merge into one.

Skaandha urdhareto Rajarajeshwaree ajayatha ithi proktha mahamuni

adhyamana!

 

Skandeyam/Kaumaram is thus an integral entity to srividya worship.

The mantra for kaumaram..OM SARAVANA BHAVAYA NAMAHA has been given

various srividya notations by kakabhujanga mahasiddha.

 

This is my humble opinion. You are free however to worship Muruga.

Infact I intend to make a trip to Arupadai when I go to India.(One

interesting thing which you might want to know is that..one among

the six muruga temples has been buried under the sea. This is a

siddha vaak by Shivaprabhakara siddha yogi. which means out of the

current 6 holy spots for muruga one is not exactly a holy spot among

the arupadai tradition of the yore).Please also refer to ''18 siddha

traditions " book for additional information on the continental drift

theory and the existence of another arupadai).

I enjoy reading the posts on this group, particularly those by

Shreeram. When I came across the mail regarding sani and maatha

worship, I wondered if there is any stotram to recite during the Rahu

Maha Dasa, which i am currently undergoing.

Thankyou for your positive comments on my postings.

 

If you could tell me what Anatardasha in Rahu mahadasha you are running

I might be of some help to you.

 

As of now certain things are to be understood...

 

Gnaanakaarako Rahuhu

Mokshakaarako Kethuhu

 

Is the jataka chintamani vaak...

 

Rahu is the giver of Knowledge and

 

Kethus is the giver of moksha!

Be happy that you will gain lot of Gyaan during this mahadasha.

 

Rahu is a master deceptionist. He brings things to a culimination as if

it is gong to be over with fantastic results and then finally something

happens and it fizzles out.

 

He delays results and frustrations set in.

 

Ofcourse this will be offset by favourable positions of other planets

and the presence of good yogas in the Native's chart.

For Rahu Divine mother worship is even more imperative as Durga/shakthi

is Rahu's upasana deity.

 

Certain things to be done during Rahu period....

 

1. Wearing Gaya gomedhika ring in silver in the right hand middle finger

(some say even ring finger)--Gaya gomedhika only will save a man from

Rahu mahadasha bad period/or bad rahu in the native's chart(This was

said by none other than Bhandakavi Ramjogeshwar Rao of Amalapuram, who

is a great yogi and astro-miracle man)

 

2. Rahu is Sani-mitra,friend of shani so one should study Rahu not in

solation but juxtaposing Shani.

 

3. Rahu's colour is blue and a blue cloth given every saturday during

Rahu kaal to a desreving brahmin will find relief

 

4. Durga saptashathi is to be read in durga sannidhi while the archaka

performs durga archana. This is to be done during fridays and saturdays

during Rahukaalam.

 

5. Rahu gives windfalss,lotteries so, if the planetary postions are

favourable then there is a chance for that too. This does not mean a

splurge in lottery is adviced. One must have one's head over one's

shoulders here.

 

6. Doing a rahu anushthan of the rahu graha mantra 23000 times(some

opine 19000 times)starting during rahukaal on a saturday before a durga

statue/photo is beneficial.

 

7. A dana of 1.25 kgs of " minumulu " Blackgram is a must on a saturday

rahukaal.

 

8. Reading the badabanamala hanuman stotra daily will give tremendous

relief and it is very famous in andhra.

 

9. The durga mahamantra during rahu kaal daily will please this snake

tailed planet

 

10. Performing a rahu homa in Thirunageswaram in Tamilnadu is a must

for Rahumahadasha

 

11. Doing homas in Srikalahasthi in andhra pradesh is also adviced.

 

12. Prasunmabika worship in Srikalahasthi with a kumkumarchana during

saturday rahu kaal is beneficial for rahumahadasha.

 

13. Praying to Hanuman and wearing an 8 faced rudraksha will keep the

native safe and sound in the period.

Depending on the antradasha a particular type of silver replica dana

should be given.

Rajarjeshwari devi cures all graha problems in Nanganallur temple.

 

There is a special procedure for that. Those who feel burdened by so

many remedies can surrender to Her Saffron Lotus feet there....

Thank you very much for the suggestions, Shreeram. Actually I am

into a research career [also in my twenties like you!]; the ups and

downs of which are being severely enhanced by the dasa. I had a few

other things to mention.

-I am undergoing the mercury anthar-dasa.

-Bandakavi gaaru suggests the Hanumath Badabanala Stotram, too. I

had a few yrs ago, stumbled upon a copy of it without any deliberate

effort on my part & even before I knew I was already running the

Rahu Dasa. It was a beautiful coincidence. I should say that the

stotram is laden with beejaksharas. I read it for a few days to the

extent that I had it memorized. Later, I had gotten to know abt the

Dasa I was running and that Hanumath Badabanala Stotram was a

suggested remedy. To make things more interesting, I got a second

copy of it, only this time with a good variation from the previous

version! I did not want to take *any* chances with the beejaksharas,

so I left the recital altogether. So, if you have the exact version

of it and let me have it, I shall be grateful.
