Mookambika Mother

 

 

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

 

i am happy to be a member of this forum and

learning a lot from the postings of sevearal sons and daughters of

mother Sri Rajarajeswari by her divine grace.i wish to narrate the

real story about mother Mookambika as given by my guru Swamy

Venkateash from madanapalle,in andhra pradesh.

 

one Mookasura , a demon gave lot of problems and

troubles to devatas and all other pranis.Satisfied with the prayers

of devatas and sages,mothe Pavathi aborbed the energies of goddess

lakshmi and saraswathi and fought against the demon and killed

him .She was adored as Vishanvi matha in Jammu

 

After having killed the demon,the trishakthi

swaroopini ,very ferocious in her looks hurling agni form her

eyes.all the efforts to pacify her by the devatas have become futile

and waste.even the soothing notes of veena played by saraswthi mother

also could not stop her anger.lord Siva the purusha lays underneath

her feet and taking her to her place of choice.after coming to kollur

mother parvathi smiles.the serenity and grenary made her comfortable

there. all the devatas who are following her had deep happy breath.

 

Devatas and sages requested the mother to stay back

in kollur.she became idol of gold.abhishekams were done to the

vigraha having three faces ,ashta bhuji and simha vahana.sage Narada

installed with veda mantras along with devatas

 

Later due to pralaya the mookamabika idol went

down deep insde the earth.

 

Vikramaditya was a very famous king.he wanted that

all his people be always happy and prosperous.fro this he wanted to

know about the diety to be installed in his kingdom.he did lot of

penance .one night he got a dream.in that lord Hanumanji appeared and

he told the king to travel entire india and he would get a dream

regarding the deity.

 

In kollur ,he got a dream.he saw trimukhi with eight

hands and seated over Lion.he got scared by seeing goddess.he forgot

the figure of mopther.he ordered for moorti of mother with one face

with four hands and seated over lion.he also arranged 365 golden

necklaces and other ornaments such that on each day one set of

ornaments be used for decorating vigraha.he made a sasan that tha one

who will be born on his date of bith,time,day,month ,year will get

these ornaments and can use for the mother .
